Player Correspondent Opening:Player Association

· Are you knowledgeable about thePlayer Associationprofession?

· Are you a community leader?

· Can you objectively identify relevant issues and distinguish them from simply passionate arguments?

· Do you like organizing information and corresponding with other members of a community?

The Development Team is looking for a volunteer correspondent for thePlayerAssociationProfession. Participation is completely voluntary and you can stop helping out at any time. We’re just looking for someone who can help us sort through the various issues for this profession.

Some things that you need to consider when applying:

· Developing online games takes a long time. Results happen with long time involvement.

· Player Correspondents should be leaders in their community and set a positive tone.

· Player Correspondents should understand the technical aspects of playing the profession and the needs of their community.

· Player Correspondents should be in touch with the communities concerns, understanding the essence of why players pursue their chosen profession.

· Please include your forum name in the letter

If this is something you are interested in, please write a short paragraph on why you think you would be a good candidate and email it to [email protected]. Please put PlayerAssociationCorrespondent in the Subject Line. By submitting this email to us, you agree to allow us to contact you in connection with Star Wars Galaxies and agree that all correspondence with and material submitted to SOE will be the exclusive property of SOE and SOE may use such materials without limitation and in its sole discretion.

After we have reviewed the submissions, we will pick one person to be our correspondent. We will set them up with a special community title here on the forums and ask them to help highlight for us the relevant issues relating to this profession.

We will still continue to monitor the forums and read as many threads as we can. The correspondent is just to help us focus on the top issues and community concerns of the profession.

Thank you.

*Note, please make your letter the main body of the text. E-mail attached items are automatically deleted as part of our spam filter….

As a long time poster and supporter of the PA forum, I've submitted my request to be considered before this announcement was made since I knew from Jascentia that she was stepping down. I hope it was recieved since I sent it beforehand since I knew before others, but I will resubmit it if necessary.

I still have a copy of what I sent, it was just sent last night but I will submit it again just incase, unless one of the Devs confirm it was recieved and ask me not to. Just have to wait until I get home from work.

I still wish Jas didn't have to go. Jas was a great correspondent for us and will be missed very very much by our little community on these forums. She's always welcome to drop by anytime though and if she doesn't.. I might have to track her down to make her! lol

Right, it's just a simple format that is copy and pasted to speed up the posting time so they aren't typing out all that information when it's needing and spending time they could otherwise spend elsewhere. No harm in that.

I threw my hat into the ring as well. Not done much posting in the PA forums but there has been little happening on that front. I have been running or organizing them for awhile in the game though.

I was thinking of applying as well but felt a bit sheepish since I've never really been a poster in this forum. But it occurs to me looking at it that there havn't been many posts period here That's a shame, because PA's are a critical component of this game and one in much need of some dev lovin.
