Greetings everyone,

After being choosen by the Devs to become the new Player Association Correspondent, this has opened up a position in the Combat Sandbox for another member of the PA Comminity. As I've spent the morning reviewing the old selection threads and reading over threads trying to choose who will replace my old spot in the testing process, I've found it very difficult to narrow it down and I'm not sure who is still wishing to be a part of the testing.

So in this post, I am asking you that if you are interested please sign below. This will be a very tough decision as we all know how good and sincere the posters of this forum are.For this next part, I will quote Jascentia in her selection post as I feel the same way she did during her selection.

I will be choosing members who have been consistent and helpful toward the PA Community. I will be choosing people who have an interest in game mechanics as well as community interaction. I do wish to help bring a PA Leader's perspective into the question of how the Combat Balance will shape the SWG experience. However, I will also look favorably upon those who show a willingness to test the nuts and bolts of how things are working, or not working, and reporting that information in a constructive way. Ideally, I would like to choose some very experienced combatants/combat leaders as well as some inexperienced (but veryinterested) combatants. Both veteran and fresh perspectives will be desired.

Here is a more concise list of criteria:

- Must be able to communicate effectively, especially through occasional setbacks and frustration

- Must have an interest in experiencing and testing combat or combat support(healing, enhancement, equipment, etc) aspects

- Must bethoughtful aboutcommunity and PA involvement as it relates to the combat experience

- Must be able to spend time in the Sandbox

Post that you would like to apply, and include any information about your desires and interests. I will add your statements below to what I've learned from your past posts and perspectives here in the PA Community.I know we're a comparatively quiet forum, but I think we'll send a good crew to help out.

Hey Rothin,

I've got loads of spare time on my hands (must get a social life ) I've been playing the game since...hmm....March (or sometime around then) I've done quite a few profs most of these Combat plus 2 crafting profs. Been looking at this board even before i started my guild...lol. I started my guild with a few mates a few months ago and it's going quite well atm...(insert nice stuff about guild). I *hope* i have help some people on this board but maybe i havent, i dunno Well anyway thats what i've got to write about me

I would really love to be part of CU sandbox testing. I have done nearly every proffesion in the game (with the exception of Dancer and Image Designer) and I have extensivly PvP'ed and PvE'ed and I have done crafting (I have an Armorsmith to supply my characters)I really want to test support specifically, in the area of Combat Medic and Doctor. Been the thing ive waited for nearly 1 1/2 years to do

I will throw my hat in as well.

I have been more of a lurker on the PA forums then a poster but I have been active in my PA leadership for most of my game time. Ran a small one for many months and am not the XO of a guild we merged we with awhile ago.

I have played many professions during my game time. I have always tried to be a positive voice, though I will admit there have been times I have not been positive.

(Second attempt as first one never submitted. oh well. hehe)

I haven't posted a lot in this forum, but I have read just about every post that I thought would help me enhance the gameplay experience for my guild members and those they interact with as that is one of the reasons I founded the guild in the first place. With that said, here goes:

- Must be able to communicate effectively, especially through occasional setbacks and frustration

Well, I sell insurance for a living so if I couldn't communicate effectively through numerous setbacks and loads of frustration, I wouldn't be able to make a living. Also, before my current profession, I worked with middle school kids. Enough said. hehe

- Must have an interest in experiencing and testing combat or combat support(healing, enhancement, equipment, etc) aspects

This is of major interest to me as I organized my guild mainly around combat whether it be PvE or PvP. We tend to spend more time as PvE but recently were in a guild war that piqued everyone's interest in PvP again. I have spent the majority of my time in the game as a Master Doctor with an accompanying combat profession and am familiar and comfortable in both roles.

- Must bethoughtful aboutcommunity and PA involvement as it relates to the combat experience

For PA involvement in combat, as I stated, our guild is highly combat-oriented and has only a few crafters as we have ties to many independent crafters or have alts that craft on the side. I have spent my time as a guild leader trying to organize both combat and non-combat events to increase members enjoyment of the game and keep people from burning out. My PA's involvement in combat has always been a primary center of attention for me.

For the community, the aforementioned guild war was our guild uniting to stand against the actions of a scammer on our server and let it be known the community wouldn't stand for those kind of actions. It was probably my proudest moment as a guild leader to know that not only was my guild committed to our tenet of making the game enjoyable for the guild and those it interacts with, but also to see so many other guilds and independent members of our server community come together and support us, no matter what side of the GCW they were on.

- Must be able to spend time in the Sandbox

I daily spend at least 3-4 hours in-game, but usually more like 6-8. At least half of this time is spent organizing or participating in things that help improve the game experience of my guild and it's friends. I would have no problem delegating some of this responsibility to the other high-ranking members of the guild so that I could spend time trying to help improve the game experience through PA interaction for the entire SWG community. I feel this sandbox will help to improve the game for everyone that plays and would love to help make everyone's wishes for upgrade become a reality.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Hi Rothin,

I would just like to throw my hat in the ring for consideration, I haven't posted much but have lurked for a long while, I was involved in the closed beta of Lightspeed and am a consistant player (10 to 14hrs available per day) in good standing. I love testing the "nitty gritty" of things and belive I have a decent to good understanding of the underlying structure of the game.

I've been involved in many different beta projects for a variety of companies and hope that I can serve the community at large with the skills I have aquired through such involvement.

In the real world I am a senior data center technician for a very popular internet company, this allows me to have a well versed grasp on things such as bug and incident reporting.

As part of my duties on a daily basis is to manage the test racks at the datacenter to make sure we won't experiance issues with deployment into a live environment and if an issue is encountered can effectivly and effeciantly investigate and report the issue in a manner to best help our development teams correct the problem. I also create usability and feature reports on the test software to ensure that the live product will be functional when deployed in our environment as live code and work with existing automated systems.

I am also a Sr. Airman in the United States Air Force Reserve 9th Recon Wing.

In SWG I have played most combat professions at some point during my charecters existance giving me insite and experiance on current issues with combat professions to help guide a testing strategy and hopefully be able to test most concerns people have about combat and the combat revamp.

I'm putting my name in here too. I would like to wish the best of luck to all who sign up. I know as long as we have the best person for the job, we'll get a good CU test.

As there is another place to fill, I would like to add my name this time. I am one of the first few people of the german community, I founded the very first german imperial guild more than three years ago and I became a moderator of the SWG: Database. Later I went to starwarsgalaxies.deand helped to build this community, which has now, more than two years later, near 10K registered users (infact the largest german board). Eventually I became co-administor of the forums,I also have written the board rules.

I posted occasionally on the old black official forums, discussed with long faded names like tearforger, triforcer, bajeezusand others (yes, thunderheart but he is still active ). So I know the development processof the game from the very beginning. I know the ideas floating around old and new. Of course, I played SWG from its release or to be more precise, as fast as it was available (a month later or so). I also participated in the last stage ofthe AEDand in the JTL-Beta.

As the oldestgerman guild still alive, we are very known to the (german)community. Our style combines many types of players. PvP for the honor, roleplay for the style, I intended to combine both to take advantages from it. So I represent players of both playstyle, I know their needs. What is important to me, I am no ideologist of any side. I might add, we won the scavenger hunt event by pex on gorath. The last couple of months we needed tostop PvP engament, as the activepvpers (me included) lost their motivation, eventually most of them left the guild/SWG or theyshifted to the newly created wow-section of our originally SWG only guild. Of course, I want them to come back.

I try to be constructive and postedmany large threads about different issues. To be honest, sometimes sarcasm and some negativity broke through my posts as development was not always on my side (imperial guild you know ).

If there is anything open, just send a PM.

I was wondering if this would happen with your new posting. Well I am not one to brag about things I have done and why I should be the one selected, so I'll spare youa long windedreply

I will however attempt to look good in your eyes like a good hopeful for this position. I have been with the game since Mid Beta and know how to expierence set backs and frustrations almost to a fault. You can ask my roomate just how much I can handle. As for commitment towards the game I am currently the leader for the Servants of the Shrub, The Premier Shrub PA.Time really isn't a factor either I manage to spend atleast 50 to 75% ofmy free time online doingvarious activitiesusually runninga PA type stuff. I'll jsut add my plug for a mobile Droid PAterminal at the end here because I think this would help aleviate alot of minor problems that add up.
