Thread: Creating a guild without a Guildhall?

According to the stickies, the first thing to do is to acquire a guild hall. I've actually started a guild before, but I figured I'd make sure there's no way to create a guild by text command. I'll be starting on a Japanese server so it may be a while before I can acquire a PA Hall.

Thanks

Nope, no text command at all. You have to get a GH, place it use the term then you can re-deed the GH BUT if you do this then you can't add members, remove members, vote for a new leader, sort guild war, sort permissions...ect....Also you wouldn't have the joy of having 7 lot's used up!

Right, currently all guild management is done entirely through the PA hall itself, so there is no way around having one to manage the guild. However, if at some point you're happy with the guild and don't want to make changes anymore, you can re-deed it and go about life without one. It is very much required for managing and creating it however.

I'm working to see what other options we might be able to get in the future, but that's still a ways off yet. I'll keep everyone posted though! I'll also keep the guide updated if things should change.

(And for the Japanese servers.. at least they'll be at a 'launch' state. That's when the game was the most fun, when no one had anything and EVERYONE had to work for what they got. Back when I took up Architect for my guild just to make the PA hall using personal harvs to bring up resources while I hand surveyed and crafted.. ahh the good ole days. So enjoy it!)
