Can someone tell me how to change the text of the sign that is outside the guild hall? Please help!

The text? I'm assuming you mean the name of the structure. To do that goto the Structure Management Terminal inside the PA and then rename it from there. If you have a Merchant friend with the right abilities, he can change the sign type outside as well if you'd like.

Always wondered this. Does the Merchant have to own the structure or just have admin on it?

Just admin and I beleive only admin when the sign is changed as well. Not too sure on the last part though. Just like to get the merchant discount on the structure they have to be on admin and pay 1 credit to maint costs then you get the 20% discount on the future costs.

Yes, we put a master merchant on admin for all of our important buildings to get the nice 20% bonus.
