this site was posted on these forums a while ago. it has many good examples of uniforms from the movies that can be recreated in-game. sorry, but it doesnt include the name of each crafted clothing item, but hopefully identifying each one will not be too difficult for you.

If I seem to recall, in the movies the Rebels didn't actually have any real uniforms.
They were all just a ragtag Alliance of freedom fighters rebelling against the Empire. They were a collection of different peoples. The Mon Calamari for example had their own style of uniforms, as we saw in ROTJ during the Alliance Attack on the second Death Star, at the Battle of Endor.
At the end of New Hope, when Han and Luke are being recognized by the Alliance and are being awarded their metals.. we see a vast number of Alliance pilots gathered to honor them; and pretty much the only similarity there is that they are all wearing that same Orange and White Pilots jumpsuit... which may just be standard issue for piloting most Alliance fighters.
But think about that part there. They are in their Flightsuits. Not uniforms.
They are, perhaps... ready and alert to launch their fighters in case of attack from the Empire. They are living in fear that their new base will be found, they are constantly being chased from planet, to planet...
But most of the times when we saw Rebels, they ddn't have any specific sort of Uniform. What was Mon Mothma wearing, when she was giving her briefing on the attack of the second Death Star?
There is only one instance which I can recall seeing Rebels wearing any sort of similar outfits, and that was during the Hoth scenes in Empire. They all had similar wintery outfits on.
Other then that, it has mostly been my opinion that Rebels (the Alliance) didn't really care all that much for Uniforms and style... they were too busy being oppressed by the Empire; and again, chased from planet to planet by Vader's fleet. We saw that in ESB, they had only just settled down on Hoth and look there... Vader's fleet arrives in orbit and the AT-AT's start pounding across the tundra, laying waste evrything in their path.
I don't think the Rebels had much time to stop and consider what they were going to wear.
They were always too busy fighting for their lives.
Thats why the Empire called them Rebels. They were rebelling against the officially recognized (at that time) form of government in the galaxy. To Imperial supporters... the Alliance was a group of terrorists, rebelling against law and order.
Terrorists are hunted down (at least now they are) and killed... they do not have time to stop and think, "ok what am I going to wear today?"... when the oppressing army is pushing closer to them every day.
I apologize to anyone whom is Alliance sympathatic here in reality... I apologize that I catagorize them as terrorists, and compare them to current affairs in our world around us today.
But this IS the Galactic Civil War we're playing out in this game. The Empire IS at its height in power. The story has just advanced from the point where the Emperor himself has dissolved all remnants of the old, former Republic Senate... He holds all the power and the Empire IS now the Law in the Galaxy, like it or not. It is the Law.
Anyone opposing that law, are rebels and terrorists.. trying to overthrow the law and order the Empire is trying to impose. The Empire is therefore going to hunt them down relentlessly and grant them no peace.
They don't have time to think about what sort of uniform they are going to wear when they get up in the morning... they are living in fear every single day of the Empire finding their new, secret, hidden base and coming in without warning to wipe them out.
In truth, I want to see more Rebel pilots running around in those orange and white jumpsuits.. not a hooded cloak or gunmans duster. Or a full suit of Composite.
I don't recall seeing any Rebels during the Battle of Hoth, wearing any fancy Composite Armor.

Great link; I see now that they do, all have the same sort of wintry uniform on during the Hoth battle.. I thought I had recalled most of them wearing a mix of different things then.
But it also shows how most of the cultures who joined the Alliance, brought their own style of dress to it. The Mon Calamari for example didn't conform to wearing what the others wore.
As for Lando, I never really thought of him as really wearing any sort of uniform. He just brought his own flair of style into things. I seem to recall he was always wearing a cape; even at Cloud City... that was just a part of his personal style. I dont that was any part of any special uniform we was wearing. The vest also looks similar to Nadine's, but the color is off and I never thought of it as being part of any specific uniform. The metal or brooch he wear was what denoted him as a General, other then that he kept to his own personal style.
(edited - misread part of Nadine's picture in the above link and removed a now pointless reference I made to it)

Actually, the Rebelsdid have uniforms that they wore at their bases. The celebration at the end on ep4 clearly shows columns of the various troopers of the alliance (soldiers, techs, pilots, ect.) and they each had a distinct uniform. Same goes for hoth, all the guys shown outside where wearing 1 of 2 distinct uniforms depending on trooper or officer. And the bridge crew in rotj had special uniforms too. They even had their own distinct belt buckle, silver in a stretched octagon shape.
As for ingame clothing, the Belted Jacket, and Vested jacket are both rebel uniform pieces, and both have the distinctive rebel belt on too. To make a nice dress uniform, try a belted jacket, in brown with blue/grey sleeves (the default color i think when you craft it), and matching brown Dress slacks, and you have aperfect Rebel Fleet General's uniform from the movie, just add some black High quality boots and its complete. The other jacket (vested jacket) is a hoth rebel jacket, so its kinda out of place on the existing planets.
If you want to go for the Commando look, try a Dark green/light tan Spec ops duster, and same color Basic Camos, along with dark green/black Sturdy boots, and you have an endor commando, or change the dark green to dark reddishbrown, and add wrapped boots in the same reddish brown, for an "in game" rebel commando look.

Just to clarify, my page shows uniforms AND costumes that I sell. Lando's Bespin outift is a costume, but the general outift he wears is a uniform, since you can see it is similar to General Madine's other than the cape, glovesand the coloring.
The rebels do indeed have uniforms, since in almost every shot on that page you can see more than one rebel wearing the same outfit.
Any tailor worth a hoot will be able to easily duplicate the outifts from the pictures I've provided

Could help them along by added listing th itmes used to make them
Sometimes pants are hard to identify

That's why I usually use the pants that are easiest to make
Unless they need to have a specific look (like the Imperial dress slacks) I usually use "thin striped pants" and just match the stripe to the base color.
