Thread: /guildremove flaw? removee not being restricted from Guild Chat Channel

I am wondering if /guildremove actually is doing what it is suppose to, because we had a member leave the guild and he still had access to our Guild Chat channel (right after removal), but he had to do a/chatroom join command to rejoin the channel.Its not like we were talking behind his back afterwards, hehe.. but it wasn't fun to discover afterwardsthat he was ease dropping on our planning and giving it away to our enemies. I even saw his name listed on the chat channels info list of attendance and to prove that he was on the channel still he blurbed out a word or two... It seems as though it's almost more secure to start a private moderated channel and handle the access rights ourselfs.

Strange. onyl heard of this once before and cant remember what happened in the end. I would /bug it and then get a CSR to remove him from the Chat. Also check the member list and see if he is still there, if he is kick him. Also it might sort it's self out at a server re-set (this is what the CSR will prolly tell you)

This used to happen a long time ago, probably 18+ months ago and got worked out. I hope it hasn't come back. I'll try to test this and see if it was some random thing of if I can get it to happen.
Also.. how did you remove him? /guildremove name or from the terminal?

He removed himself, but nowI wish it was the other way around

Just to follow up on this, the problem was gone after server restart.

I wonder if it was just lagged then with some of the other chat lag we've been seeing lately.

It works, if you go to join chat channel and know whichchannel it is, you can join any guildchat you want. It also resets when the server restarts.
