Thread: Guild does not update when players leave the game a solution

We all know that when a guild member cancels their account and there character goes *poof*, the guild information retains them as a guild member. I would assume this has not been fixed because it probably is difficult to code (two systems interacting). Developers: why not set have the game automatically send a mass game-mail to all guild members informing them that their fellow guild-mate has left the game? Guild leadership will then know to act on removing that character from the guild roster.

Just a thought.

I think I saw something similar to this in the patch notes on test center a while back. Every so often the game would purge players that no longer exist. Can anyone confirm this?

According to the patch notes that we should be seeing today:

"Make weekly guild updates remove purged characters."

Good question. Hopefully for cancelled accounts.
