Thread: Ive got this issue... do any of you?
Giving out titles in my guild means something. There are however some titles that i cant use for one reason or another. Chancellor and Elder are examples of titles not allowed by the game. This needs to be fixed. Our guild is based on a certain structure that is having to be somewhat modified because this game does not support what we need it to. This title change solution is just a minor thing... but it could lead to greater acceptance by all users.
What do you all think? I know its not the most pressing issue but this only pisses me off when i cant give someone a title they deserve.
Thanks!
The problem is that there is only ONE filter for EVERY thing in the game that a player could name. This goes for character names, building names, PA Names, PA Titles, etc. There are a couple of variations for species (whether or not a - or ' is allowed) but that's it. I have reported this as a very annoying issue, but the problem is they will probably have to add new code so that different types of player-named items use different filters.
I can't imagine it is something the Devs will be opposed to in any way from a design standpoint. You should be able to give an Officer the Title, Officer. It is a no-brainer. It is just a matter of where this fix/feature gets placed in the long list of things that are always being worked on. I wish I had a better answer, but I don't.
I just formed a PA and was hindered in my original design by the name filter. (It seems syndicate is no longer allowed). Our workaround for this was ti find something that meant the same, but that the name filter would not kick out. We chose to go with "Cosa Nostra" (the name for the Italian Mafia for those that do not know) and our ranking system is also set up on the same principle, using Italian Mafia Titles.
It really helped bring a theme to the PA as well, and is just a thought.
