Thread: Just a thought that might help PA Leaders
I don't want to take something from a profession, but I think the Squad Leader ability to system message a group could be beneficial to a PA Leader. I would not implement it the same way, and this may be a waste, but here is my reasoning:
Not all members can easily manage Guild Chat, Spatial Chat, and Group Chat at the same time (especially in heavily populated areas), and email is not necessarily checked immediately if it is a critical issue.
My idea would be a "/guild tell" command that would allow a /tell to be sent to all online members of the guild. This could also come in handy for those guilds that stage raids or are under attack in a raid, and still have their Squad Leaders lead small groups while the PA Leader focuses on their objectives.
Just something that I thought about the other night and wanted to get some responses to.
I think that is a really good idea. But I'd like to see a motd put in before that. Something that every guildie sees when they log in.
Hehe, well as Guildmaster, Mayor and Master Squad Leader, I have to say I like the MOTD thing. As Master Squad Leader, I don't like the idea that a Guildmaster would have the same ability as the SL, with /sysmessage. Then SL has nothing left that is good anymore, of the time being now.
My suggestion would be to have MOTD, and maybe a command for Guildmaster, that would bring up in the same way as when a SL uses /sysmessage, predesigned commands.
Example:
Attention: Message pops up telling guildmembers to join guildchat.
Defend: Get back to Guild Hall.
Maybe some more... but not freely use it the same way as SL.
I'm not implying it would be quite the same, but yes I can see how it would be very similar. My thought was more of a /tell than a /sysmessage, but they do achieve the same purpose. I do like the idea os maybe a predefined aet of commands - or at least one that says to get into guild chat. That in and of itself would be helpful.
/sign
This would greatly benefit me. I would not have to send /tells to over 40 people, or count on e-mail or guild chat to be working. I would love this command.
