Thread: Proposal: PA-Only Vendor
In a PA of any size, there is always an issue of people being on at different times and needing to trade with someone else in the guild. Add to this that the larger the guild, the tougher this becomes, then inventory and trading issues get worse and worse.
In fact, our guild has over 100 members, and we now have 6 warehouses, and a variety of small places set aside for our crafters. On top of this, a quasi-guild vendor for guild-only items in a house with a multi-mil credit entry on it. Add to this the broken guild-entry only admin command (i.e., can't add more than 50 or so to admin on a structure), and you have a recipe for disaster and inventory issues across the board.
What I propose is a special Guild-Only vendor that can be placed in a private structure (such as the PA Hall).
Inventory control in this game is horrendous, and this would help PA's of more than 20-30 people stay organized, and maybe help this game not be so much "work" just to get that weapon so-and-so promised you 3 days ago, but you haven't seen them since. I realize the "add them to admin on your house" argument for this situation, but why run all the way back 4 planets when the guild vendor would work? And be considerably less time.
Think of this vendor like a hotel, you put in who it's for, the vendor holds onto it until that person comes to get it. Or just put the item(s) in a backpack with their name on it and put it on the guild vendor. This currently is not possible for one simple reason: vendors cannot be placed in private structures. Therefore, a guild vendor is open to the public unless you do what we did to the entry fee.
Devs, all I ask is, give this a look from our perspective, we're getting tired of having to "work" for this game to be fun. Please look at streamlining these inventory issues - because I know there are a host of other related inventory problems. For my PA, this is becoming a major issue.
"Therefore, a guild vendor is open to the public unless you do what we did to the entry fee." u already answered ur proposition...
Other solution is if u want to trade withsomeone.. GET A STUPID VENDOR, lvl 3 artisan is achieved in 10 minutes of gameplay.
Thats something everytone with 1 cm of brain can think.
PA Features are rarely a matter of convincing the Devs that they are needed. I feel the Devs would be in full support of the vast majority of new features we have come up with for PAs. However, it is all a matter of where they fit it in the Development schedule. Between Chef changes, Squad Leader revamps, Smuggler Revamps, Image Designer changes, Merchant changes, Jedi bugs, GCW Revamp, Combat Revamp, Act 3, etc. etc.
While the Devs are overall very supportive of our needs, this is going to be a waiting game for some time.
