Thread: Guild Founder passed on :(
Last month our guild was informed, through our website, that our founder passed away in real life in a traffic accident with a DWI driver at the young age of 18. He was a great person to be associated with ingame. My heart greaves for his family.
He was the founder as I mentioned but he made me Guild Leader mid - OCT of last year when RL started to take up more of his time.
My concern now is this. His friend told us his account is closed now. Eventually his avatar will be no more. Will this also disband the guild? From what I hear, founders have complete control, even when they officially make another member Guild Leader. They still have complete control.
Will his abilities be tranfered to me upon his avatars deletion? Or will we have wait to see if the guild disbands then reform again?
Just curious to what we have to look forward to.
We will be placing a memorial to honor him in our city square of Tetsu Tsume on Rorisoon. As much as I love this game. The best part about it is still the people we meet and the relationships we forge. Keep that in mind.
sorry to hear of your lose...
as for the guild problem theres a couple of things you can do. Basically, did he /transferstructure to you or did you have everyone set allegiance to you. If he did a /transferstructure to you all you need is the majority of the members to go to the terminal and set allegiance to you , and then wait a week. This does work, it worked for me almost 4 months ago. Now if he didn't do a /transferstructure, then you need to buy another pa hall and place it...it will automatically become a pa hall of the guild...
of course i dont know if the original will completely disappear with his deleted account, as long as people are still paying maintenance on it. the only thing is that you wont be able to move it.
Sorry for your loss, that is horrible.
My guild as well is founderless, and we don't know why, haven't heard from him in months, I am trying the stuff posted here as well. But he never transfered the structure to anyone else. I don't know how this will affect anything, I hope it doesn't.

You guys could always buy a new guild hall, place it (which then becomes another PA Hall for your guild) then just stop payin maintenance on the old guild hall...
it's times like this we really understand just how strong our friendships really are online.
My prayers are with him and his family.
