Thread: Can you change the guildtag?

I am so excited about actually finding this forum. I've been avoiding the forums lately, just not enough time. So, in theory, I should be able to get more than half of our members to set allegience to me, and life will be fine and dandy on that front. The true question of the moment is this...
We'd like to change our guild tag. There's a guy on our server who's been griping that out guild name is to close to his RL name. (Yeah, right, who cares?) But, we've decided that he won't grow up and get over it, so we want to change the tag. He doesn't seem to have a problem with the name of the guild itself, just the tag.
Can this be done without disbanding the guild? We'd like to keep the NAME, just change the TAG. I'm not seeing a way to do this. (of course, could be in part that SOE doesn't recognize me as guild leader, but tha'ts another story.)

I read this to my husband (our Guild Leader) and he thinks you should just tell the guy to grow up and get over himself. lol He says he would not change our guild tag just because some guy on the server has a problem with it, and he says you should consider getting in contact with SOE and reporting him for harassment if he carries on. He also points out that this one guy isn't going to be the only guy on the server with aname *similar* to your guild tag. So basically, just carry on enjoying yourselves and ignore him. lol =D

yeah, but then we've also had an interesting idea, and want to change the tag anyway. The one kid griping about it is just a side note. (and interesting cover-story!)

Choose the option on the terminal to change PA Name and Tag. When it asks for a PA Name just put in the same one you already have.When it asks for the tag / abbreviation put in the new one you want. 
It should change over in a week unless it istaken by another PA.

I couldnt change ours for 2 months and the CSR told me to disband and restart the guild. Kinda sucks if you have alot of members to resort to that, but you may want to check to see if you are bugged like we were.

Ok so you can change the guild tag, but my question is can you make it so the guild tag shows up in color?? If so that would rock!
