Thread: Guild house permissions
What our guild has done is have a few houses that serve as warehouses. I only have a few guildmates on my house admin rights. It does take trust even with a warehouse but it might be better then giving everyone access to your personal home.

There is a difference between trusting my guild mates and my duty to my guild mates. Yes, I trust all of them, however it is my duty to protect the guild and its assets. Each month they pay guild dues to me and it goes into the building maintenance/treasury. The guild house is the only house that I know of that you can withdraw money from the maintenance fund.
I would be remiss if I didn't take measures to secure these funds and assets. All it takes is one person getting ticked off and running away with the cash - what recourse do you have then? In PlanetSide I have seen more than one guild decimated because of some PO'ed player with poor impulse control.
I hear that.
I trust everyone in my guild. But, when i first started it, I was leary of this too. At first, only the first few founding members were given access, and slowly I would add people as they became deeper involved within the guild. When members go inactive, I take them off the admin list. If people quit, they are off pronto.
You can include havingadmin rights in your guild guidelines. Only senior members, or members that have put so much time in, have access. Another one of the policies we came up with was that guild dues are to be paid via bank tip. That way, you have a record of the people who have paid for the month and they don't have access to the guild's maintainanceaccount.
Before I came up with the above policy, I think people were getting pissed not having access. After all, everyone wants to feel like they are a part of the group - and they can be, if they prove themselves. Also, like mentioned above, go with a guild warehouse.
