Okay let me set up the situation for you first. My guild (Hell's Womprats, however the name may or may not be changed to Hawkbats) is a rebel guild and currently has about 4 members. I myself am not the "leader". we have the 3 most active members in the guild playing "council". We're looking to expand and recruit rebels and possibly neutrals of all skills and experiences. We plan on doing both PvP and PvE. We don't want a limit really on members but want to keep it small enough that we have a tight knit guild population. I have yet to discuss the details with the official leader but what I'm imagining is a guild based on an abbreviated rank structure similiar to the faction rank structure already in game. Lot's of discipline and military order when in combat but at the same time allow guild members to be independant outside of such situations. We don't have a city but I'm also pushing for the "official" leader to accept membership to a city if we can find one on-planet. Anyway I gave you this information because I was curious as to what kind of leadership this guild would have. I want the opinions of some of the more experienced members of the swg communtiy. What I envision as far as command is concerned is the same 3 man council with the two lower (myself and another person) handling things such as recruitment, organization, discipline etc etc yadda yadd and the top man (the "official" leader) having an overseeing position. Having the final vote on whether members are allowed in or promoted etc etc yadda yadda. But that's just what I'm thinking. I have some experience co-running a guild on a different MMORPG (Ultima Online if it matters.) but would really like some opinions as to how this guild should be run from you guys. TIA for the help

First of all, you should ask Rebels personally if they are interested in joining. This will help you get members without pissing people off while shouting. Then you need to talk to the leader, if you can't find a city on the planet you like, get members and place 10 houses close to each other. Start your own city! lol 4 members won't get you very far during PvP, so don't even worry about that until you do some recruiting. I'm not sure what else to tell you, but that's my suggestion about your member situation.

Heh well thanks but I was more interested in the type of leadership that might work. Like a council or a single leader or whatever. Sorry if I didn't make that clear. TIA.

I would say at 4 members a single leader, when you expand i would think more of a senate with a tie break leader
