Really do not know the appropriate location to place this post, but i felt the answer would come from here. Personally I enjoy being independant both in game and in rl. Thus, i have chosen not to be affiliated with any guild and it works for me. I have my house in a very nice waterfront location but im concerned about being swallowed up by a new guild that has started a player city very close to where i have been since release. My question is this as they expand into a full blown city and as their real estate grows out that they control from their city hall, will i eventually be forced to move my house once my house is with the limits of their player city? Or can i chose to remain within their limits of their city and not be forced to join their player city or will i be forced to move from my location if i chose not to join their city. Other question that relates to that is i also have a factory up, would i also have to move my factory if my factory happens to fall within the boundaries of their city.

What will occure is that you will be eveloped into their city limits as they grow. This will subject you into paying what ever they deem to place as property taxes. Your structures will have a % added to them that you will pay in addition to their standard upkeep costs (it is usually relitivly low and not much of a concern).

You do not have to decalre your resedency in your house. BUT if you do you will then be permitted to vote for and run for mayor if you so choose/if there is more than one running for mayor.

Your best bet would be to contact the mayor as you becomed eveloped into their city..and very nicely explain your position as to how much land you would like to have unobstructued by more buil;ding. They do not have to accomodate you...but most mayors who are truly civic orented will at least weigh in the cost of your petition befor making anybuilding decisions near your area....and may even offer to provide your a perk or two shpould you be asked to relocate somewhere within this new city so accomodate a civic building project.
