Thread: My guild leader is quitting... wondering what the repercussions will be...
If he doesn't delete the character, his houses and the guildhall will stay.
Even if he does, the guild itself remains until it (a) has less than 10 members (b) is /guilddeleted by the guildleader.
Structures are only deleted if the character is deleted. Otherwise they will hang around as long as they have maintenance. If someone does not already, try and get admin priviledge to the hall so you can continue to access it and feed it credits.
In the event the hall does disappear, your guild will remain. You simply won't have access to a guild terminal. Anyone that places a hall in the future will have its terminal automatically become attached to your guild.
You can vote in a new leader at any time. On the guild management terminal, just select a name and the choose "show support." Once you have a simple majority backing one guy, it'll change to his/her leadership. I think the updates happen on Tuesdays.
You might want to have your old leader transfer ownership of the hall over to another player. Even with admin rights, there's stuff that you can't quite do. Our leader left and it caused big problems because she was the owner of the Hall. We were still paying the maintenance on it, but all it took was a couple days of forgetting to do that, and we lost the Hall. See, since we were not the owners, we didn't get the warning emails. Also, we couldn't move the Hall when we joined a player city.
If any person in the guild places a guildhall, it belongs to the guild. What we ended up doing was placing a new hall and moving stuff. Of course, when we lost the original hall, we lost lots of stuff, too. If I were you, I'd vote in a new leader and place a new hall ASAP.
