Our guild leader had to quit a couple weeks back. We held an email vote to pick the new leader so we could consolidate our efforts for the vote (We are an 80+ member guild). So far we have not gotten the new leader installed officially.
Part of our problem is that we have no idea when the count resets. It is possible that it is reseting in the middle of our voting so only half the votes are counting. Currently we are running from sun 11:59pm to sun 11:59pm CST. If anyone has any ideas on when it resets please let me know.
Thanks

Oh I see my question is in the 10 Questions for the Devs list. Guess none of you know then. Thanks anyway, we'll have to work around it.

It takes one week for it to go through. It works sorta like the city cycle does....

Yes it takes a week for the change to come in effect then the guild gets an email that says "so and so is the guild leader". Knowing this cause my guild and I just went through the same thing.

well, we got a new leader installed. From our count we got very lucky because the number of active members was 1 over 50% of the guild and after a small dispute we lost the only person that had the ability to kick members.
Luckily we have only gone through this once, I have given a few of the trusted members the ability to kick members in the event that something happens to me, that way it wont be such a pain.
I gotta say I hope the devs take a good look at the list of things that was submitted to them because many a guild dies for the simple fact that the system is all screwed up.
Thanks for the info and good luck to anyone that is going through a leadership change. Now I just have to get used to being the leader and keeping everyone in line.
