Thread: Change of leadership problems

According to CSR_JaniceB:

"The votes will be tallied every week the same day the guild was originally created"

According to CSR_JorgeS:

"More than half the guild will need to set allegiance to the new leader. Once more than half the guild leaders have set allegiance it will take a week from that point for the change to take place"

Then CSR_ChrisL says:

"I'm not 100% sure but I believe that CSR_JorgeS is correct. If this does not appear to be the case please ammend this ticket to inform us so we may enter this information into our knowledge base"

Ok, we assumed (such not a good thing) that when a person sets their allegience it's a permenant thing (makes sense yes?). So we've been having people change their allegience as we've seen them and are fairly certian that more than 51% of the guild has changed it. The leadership has not changed, however.

When we asked the CSRs the above were the responses we got. Janice insinuates that it's like city voting - all allegience settings are cleared weekly and you have a week to win the spot, Jorge confirms what we assumed to be correct and Chris says we have no clue, if you figure it out let us know!

So....

HELP!

Thanks

I was told it is a weekly vote and you need 51% of the PA to "declare fealty" to you. I have been trying to get 51% online for a while now.

holy moley it worked! I think it does take till the end of the week. Sunday at Midnight (well technically Monday then) the whole guild was send an email saying that leadership had changed. I was raggin on everyone all week to go declare fealty to me and it worked. Good luck to you with this.

I need some help with this as well. We are in the process of changing guild leadership and appreciate anyone's experiences.

I e-mailed [email protected] asking for a clarification on this two days ago (e.g. when the third CSR told me to let them know if they were wrong). I haven't received any answer yet, but I'll be sure to post it here when/if I get one. Wouldn't surprise me if I'm just told to contact CSR ingame though, even if I explained in the mail that they obviously have no idea and are just guessing.

Reply came today. They told me in-game CSR could answer my question. I replied telling them to try actually reading their mail before replying to it. Something tells me I'll receive the same answer once more though...

I too am very interested in an answer on whether or not 'Set Allegance' reverts back to the leader each week or remains as each member set it until such time as they change it again.

I don't think it resets every week. My guild had a similar problem when our previous leader left us with no warning. The guild is fairly large, and has quite a few inactives. We knew we had about 1/2 of the guild, but a week or two went by with no change. I finally sent out one last email plea to please set allegiance if they hadn't already. I think only one or two people set their allegiance that day, but the next day our leader was changed.

I've still not received any answer from CS on my mail other than the first one I mentioned above. Wonder if anyone ought to let them know what the S stands for, possibly also ram a thesaurus down their throat since it's obvious that if they do know what it stands for, they've no clue what it means.

We just went through this ourselves, It's a big pain. As far as I can tell I think the vote does reset once a week. As far as when the votes are counted and reset it seems that it is one week (168 hours) from the time the guild was placed every week. An additional problem is that the counter does not count server down time, so the time and day moves.

We ended up asking all of our members to vote at least three times through out the week, basically anytime they were near the PA hall go in there and vote. After a couple days it went through. Only took us 4 weeks from the time our leader left the game.
