I've tried changing the name of our PA on Valcyn for awhile, but it doesn't seem to work - even after a few weeks of waiting. I never got any messages saying that the name I choose didn't work, or anything along those lines.

We dropped the hall, and the leader had to pick a name so he went with RKR for name and RKR for abbrev. (Guild name is Rogue Knights of the Republic). I was given all the privillages of guild leader (mail, kick/invite, guild enemies etc) and I tried several times to change the name to Rogue Knights and the abbrev. to RKotR, but no luck - even after nearly a month of waiting.

I'm wondering, is this a known problem? I've looked through the faqs stickied at the top but nothing in them about my problem. Is this a bug, or does the name have to go through approval? Or is it just becuase it can't change it until server reset?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Name changes should stick once a week, on your PA Update Day. You might try to see if there is another guild on your server that is using a similar name or abbreviation.

Oh ok, I figured that wasn't it because when you try to change the name of a city, it tells you automatically if the name is in use - thought it was the same with PA names. I'll continue trying and thanks for the help.

It would be really nice if we got some kind of message like that on PA names... Any thoughts on if we might be able to add that to our request list? Since the code's already mostly there on cities, might not be difficult to do...
