Thread: PA Lots I'm glad it's a priority
As a PA leader myself I have a Second Account that I keeprunning on the60 Day game cards...
Yes its some times a pain, but just think of it this way if your second account is oh something like a DR or a Pure Combat Character, You dont really need those lots...
This way as a PA Leader and a Crafter, run harvesters on my lots... My current break down for PA used Lots
Main Account
2 Lots for a Small Storage shed (cant keep tons of resouces in the PA Hall, I like my hall looking good)
1 Lot for a Factory
7 Lots for Harvesters
Second Account
9 Lots for the PA Hall
1 Lot Factory
Non Crafter Guild members are also your best friends... Ask a few of your non crafters who maybe run 5 harvesters to place some of the structures you may use as a crafter for you and make you an admin... then you take care of it...
It should stay high cost.
You want everything too easy.
Try soloing EVERYTHING, ALL THE TIME.
Find out how much harder the game is alone, with a self reliant toon.
Groups gain a bunch of advantages, there needs to be costs attached.

PA hall should work like a City hall
GOT THAT RIGHT!!!!! why should we totaly give up on other activities in the galaxy just to unite a certain group of people.

Ilike the idea of allowing guild members to 'donate' lots towards the PA Hall. That way larger guilds would see nine players with only one lot each donated. I know you can 'effectively' do this by having guild members loan lots to the PA Hall owner, but that can be a hassle when it comes time to move the structures.
another good idea too.

perhaps they could do as such, 6 lots for the guild hall if it doesn't have a guild associated with it and 0 lots if there is actually a guild.
Jascentia wrote:That sounds like a good idea, but it would require mountains of new code. It would also require figuring out such complex problems like... What happens if the PA Leader has all of their lots in use, but the guild is disbanded due to having too few members? The hall should go back to costing lots but there are no lots to be had...
Well, I know that PA halls are very expensive, but just thinking along these lines...
If PA halls really were looked at like civic structures (but for a guild), should they not just be destroyed if the guild is disbanded, as city hall is destroyed when a player city drops below 10 citizens for too long? The notion has its ups and downs, but the risk of destruction of the hall does offset the lack of lot costs in this model. On the other hand... would we really want them to work like this? Smaller guilds might be frightened to decorate their halls nicely in the event that the structure, and everything inside it, might just *poof*. This concept does discourage new guilds from forming.
I just throw these things out in the hopes that it might further the thinking for a solid, working model that could result in PA halls with 0 lot costs. Maybe something here will trigger an idea in another, and we can build from there.
