Thread: What are the oldest guilds?

The Azu’kai Family on Starsider has been about since pre-beta August 2002.


Originally drawn from a number of AO players; we came together to form and develop a criminal PA for SWG when it launched, that was original in concept, and not existing anywhere else.


We founded the PA in-game during beta3, then again when the game went live in June 2003.


Still around today, still doing things the way we always have, not going anywhere soon. Have had a city and community around us for the last six months, which shrinks, grows, shrinks, grows, much like the PA itself both seem to be somewhat eternal.


All-in-all, quite happy with how things turned out.

Money Makers has been around since launch, was Capital City on Naboo for awhile, right next door to New Roseholme.

Down to 20 or so members these days ( I blame the move to Dantooine.. lol)

Not the oldest but still kickin!

the hours spend guessing what was going to be in the game & how we hoped it would be were fun, but it was hard to keep the interest going at times in those 3 years

The 5th of March was the New Alliance 1st year aniversary and we are still going strong.

first guild was SG followed by TDA then PL
SG is aroudn still and TDA and PL merged and is still standing strong

The Imperial Order was created somwhere around March/April 2002 I think (I wasn't around then, but our earliest references go back this far at least). We put down our PA-hall on July 2nd or 3rd 2003.

The Rebel Squadrons has been a club for several years now, the PA was theorized/started up out of game a year or two before launch, and in-game our PA hall was placed on July 16th, 2003.

My guild Force City started forming during beta with me and some RL friends brainstorming. We became official with the placing of our PA hall on September 10th, 2003. We are small, strong, and will be around for awhile.

Kabar formed on the Prelaunch Forums, was the 5th PA to get a PA Hall in first week then we moved to Chimaera where we are the oldest

Pax Came from Anarchy-Onlinewhere we were known as Pax Romana on the Rimor RK2 Server. Closing on 3 years old fast now.

In SWG we formed very shortly after release with many of us also doing beta before this.


I just hope SOE realize the importance of guilds to MMOs at some point and give PAs a much needed revamp.


That is if the merchant nerf dont make us all quit first.

From Gorath, Aeon, the first guild on the server still exists. Though it was formed of high quality hardcore gamers at the start, most of them quit the game due to lack of content and the number of bugs in the first couple months after launch. i wish i could say we are going strong, but the truth is, the guild is washed up. there simply isnt much to do as a guild in the game anymore. if anyone can help me out with some suggestions for recruitment or just some pointers in the area of successful guild management, id be very appreciative.

<CA> on Intrepid is basically in the same boat. We were as high as 100+ I think, however we have recently dropped to a low of probably 5 and are now back up to 17.


We are focusing on the quality and getting loot items to decorate the new PA Hall in the new city. We moved to a city since our own city went bankrupt. So far, we are looking forward to the upcoming publishes and JtL, we are preparing to hit JtL running.
