Just make sure to send out a guild wide email explaining that this is a bug so people understand why that's getting sent out in error. Then just make sure the elections are disabled. I've reported the issue.

Reporting in from Gorath, LOST Guild. I was lucky enough to get an out of game IM from one of the guys currently playing and then contact our guild leader. He did disable the elections and now we're getting the word out to everyone to keep down the panic.

I'm glad my guild is so active and knows I am. I put in a ticket and registered to run... still had guildies assuming the other leader must hold thePA because he hasn't been on in a while. Last night it said I had 126 votes, which I am fairly sure is impossible? Guild has 131 members but they weren't all online yesterday, heh.

This is also a bug left over from the allegiance method. When the leader registers for the vote it shows all members as if they had voted for that person, but they won't actually count unless the people vote. This is also now effect city elections as it will show the entire city voting for the incumbant mayor when he runs but it will only give him experience for those who actively vote.

In our city, the count starts over each time.

Anyway, reporting in from Eclipse, this just happened to our guild. Someone posted it first thing on our guild forums this morning so I logged in and sent out a guild email and closed the elections (they were indeed open, but nobody was registered to run).

I was logged in less than 24hours before

The email was sent

Elections were started

People can run for leadership, people can vote

Elections cannot be disabled

I tried enabling elections and then disabling them again.... they're still active.

help?

So far you're the only person who hasn't been able to disable the elections. As long as your a good guild leader I doubt you'll have any problems if they elections do run their course since most guild leaders are wanted as leader. However, I would suggest sending in a ticket to Customer Service to see if they can assist you in turning off the elections since you aren't able to.

I logged in yesterday and disabled the elections and went to work.
When I got home, I logged in and found another guild mail was sent saying I hadn't logged in etc etc etc

Not liking this at all.

Strange, it hasnt happened to our guild, however I was the first person in my guild to log in after the patch so maybe that is why. *Shrug*

Radiant reporting in. I am the leader of our guild, and found out when I logged on to my wife's account to help her with respec'ing. My first reaction was "W T F?", then I logged into my account and found it. I simply let everyone know to just revote for me and I'd get more info when I could. The great thing was that I got info almost immediately (/patback for Rothin)

Anyway, I disabled the elections, it sent out an e-mail about it, andI can STILL get the voting option on the radial menu. Something is definitely going haywire. I'd like to know if the devs have acknowledged it yet or not.

Thanks for letting us know. Any chance this might be on the priority list of fixes? My guild is apretty laid back and tight one, and I"m sure they'll contact me first before doing anything (assuming they only reply before reading my update), but there are alot of guilds who have members who aren't so "tight" with their guild and might bail without bothering to find out.

Don't know if it'll be a very high priority fix ot not, but I'm pushing it just like any other bug to get it fixed as soon as possible. It's mostly just a matter of if a Dev has the available development time to fix it. No telling how much actually needs to be done to fix it. It could be 1 line of code gone astray or 300 lines gone crazy. Things are layered and when you change one thing it can very much effect a lot of other things as we've seen with this bug coming up when they fixed the terminals.

ok, i think we have a new problem here. I disabled the elections yesterday and they just went and abled themselves again. Now its like an everyday thing going back and forth turning them off. Is this happening to anyone else? an explanation why? If it makes any difference PA leadership was transferred to me about a week ago, and the old guild leader hasnt been on much. Im so confused
