Happened again tonight, this time the guys just said they didnt have to give a reason, and told us to go away. Jolly fellows of Ez guild this time. This time it was worse, me and a friend had dont about 5/8s damage to the thing, so over half, but they came along, a few jedis, and killed it in under 30s. Of course again we asked them to leave, kindly, the second we realised what they were going to do, but it was too late.

I sincerely hope that something is done with this issue, loot drops are a joke at the moment, on Chimera anyway some of mu guild have had the same happen to them by members of ANG, as a budding AS I was hoping to be able to loot some tapes but this i have found to be impossible due do the amount of kill stealing and the simple fact that Nyax etc, is virtually permamently camped, a lot of times they're also camped while people are afk using macros.
On the whole i'm getting pretty disillusioned with the game to the point where i'm considering quitting, I love the game but the fact that a few guilds have effectively cornered the market on anything worth looting means that there is little chance to progress with out payingthe sky-high fees that the looters want for there efforts, i'm not saying I want things easy cause i'm not, butthings need to be addressed greed is killing the game, and everyone at least deserves a chance.
I dont know how it can be achieved fairly, the current state of the game isn't thats for sure, removing macro's would be good on one level but entertainers would suffer, maybe it would be possible to adjust them so they can't be used whilst in combat, if it can it would certainly even things out a bit afk wise,I like the idea that once a target is attacked no one else can interfere unless the person/group either gives up and runs away or is slain, that would certainly limit the outdamaging fiasco that currently ensues, maybe it could be managed similar to the new jedi tef system where only the BH and his mark can be combatants.
I'm sure i'll probably get flamed for this, but I dont see why I should have to change my template just to compete with the ignorance of kill stealers or those who choose to loot everything via afk macro's, to see master combat profs outside coronet afk'ing meatlumps is plain daft, give the new players a fighting chance at the game for christ sake there will probably be a lot more of them joining after episode 3 hits the cinema's, meatlumps offer them a chance to progress what else can they do, they cant take on naffs etc with low lever brawler/marksman skills thats for sure.

See when the geniuses decided to make these doctor buffs available to players giving them 3000 HAM, it cancels any need for co-operative play. Since everyones so bad ass with their buffs and 90% composite armor, they dont have to be cool to anyone they deem un uber. They don't need to establish themselves as a good person with good mannersin the community, as it doesnt threaten to hinder their rise to uberity.
Unless there's a reward to playing cool, (like not being blacklisted, but being blacklisted doesnt matter in this game since you can solo the highest mobs)majority of players will by pass that and develope abig head, but without a doctor holding their hand from 20,000 meters away, and their full suit of 90% comp armor which they cannot wear with out their gai buff, they'd be nothing as they would have to learn strategies and combine those strategies with others, (in traditional MMOG fashion) a concept totally alien to most here.
Those asses just wanted to make you feel low because you didn't know their Uber armosimth, doctor, and weaponsmith they'd be nothing without.

As far as I understand it, Grouping doesn't get its own Top 5, it'd have to be part of our Guild Top 5.
However, I am a fan of Encounter locking which prevents this mess and have already been discussing it with the other Correspondents and such, so we'll see if anything can be done.
you know we were just talking about this in guild chat the other day, how annoying KSing is. Yea it gets me real hot under the collar and shows blatant lack of respect for others. but.. the flip side, which someone in our group mentioned. What about campers? Encounter locking encourages static spawn campers, and there's added griefing when someone just runs around gettiing first strike to lock the target as their own. The problem with kill-stealing lies in that there is no group damage. Corpse rights are awarded to the one person who does the most damage (and their group). So the lone KSer with the uber PH gets the loot from a group of 20 with normal weapons. Fix that, and your problem is more or less solved by encouraging grouping.

Simple solution: have a csr watching stuff like krayt spawns and other big loot drops andbig hunt locations24-7for kill thefts. Then make it soonce a some1 comes to attack some1 elses krayt or somethin they must be invited to join the group or player attacking the target or have to wait till the original attackers run away like sissies and the target disengages themor theydie honorably fightingbeforea new playercan attack.

I seriously doubt any company would ever hire people just to sit and watch the spawns for kill stealers. It wouldn't be a very wise spendature of payroll if you ask me! lol
They did say they are looking into ways to change how looting rights work though. So hopefully we'll see something soon.

Easy solution, 2-3 monitors. 1 for norm csr duties then a second or third to watch spawns

You're still looking to pay 2-3 people for something that shouldn't need to be monitored when you can code in ways to prevent it.

Yes, I've read it. I sent in a proposal on a system to help prevent kill stealing several days ago for the Devs to consider. It is something that needs to be addressed and it is something they stated they are looking into. No word on when / if changes will happen though.

As a krayt hunter myself, I don't steal spawns. It just isn't right. If I do, I give the loot to the people who were there first.
Here's the thing, why not give the loot to whichever group engaged it first, provided they had enough people in their group within 50m?

anything like that would be good.
Was attacking some krayts yesterday, about 10 people drove past WITHOUT stopping, and a couple of people then started attacking it, and left when we asked them. Why isnt everyone like this! lol
