Thread: Guild Election / Management Issues Update

Just a bump for what's still broke. I'm beginning to think that forming a new guild is the way to go. The CU introduced so many new bugs that may take priority over guilds. Any possible fix sounds months away.

Just for kicks, I opened a new ticket and got the same response I did a month ago. Sad.

Our guild leader is leaving the game and transferred the guild directly over to another player 2 weeks ago. This morning I logged in and received a system email saying that the guild leader had not been online for some time (??? he was online yesterday and the day before, etc) and that to make the guild more effictive gives every member inour guildto apply for leadership on a voting basis - like the mayor voting system? Is this part of the same bug? The old guild leader is still a member of the guild and the terminal is showing the new guild leader as leader. I haven't been able to look into it further because of the current server "loading" issue.

It's different from the issue that was fixed, but happened because of that fix. There is an entire thread with responses for it "Guild leader not active bug." The guild is fine, just send out a guild wide email saying its a bug and to disregard those emails and disable the elections and the problem is solved. It may repeat so you might need to disable them more than once until this is fixed.

whats really stupid about this is the first time i ever got an email regarding the guild elections was yesterday. im on my leader character everyday and what is stupid is that it said i havent been on in more than two weeks lol - what a crock lol huh. I went ahead and enabled the guild elections now my question is do we have to run these elections every two weeks to keep the guild active??? we are happy where we are at and dont need to be doing these elections. we have lots more other stuff to do especially with the new planet and cu to conentrate on than having to hold elections every two weeks let alone for our city every three. if the elections are disabled what happens?? or is it a must to do these every two weeks to keep the guild valid? and another question with it so bugged to boot - as not seeing my character logs on everyday what happens if it bugs out again well one if it goes default to the original guild leader as no one runs against her ?

Again... just disable the elections and email your guild and tell them to ignore the emails and that they are being sent out due to a bug.

Well I guess we can add no guild/group chat to this as well makes for a tough day when I get emails sometimes two a day saying I haven't played for a while and elections open up. I send emails out but still with all that has been going on I ahve lost a few people cause they were not sure what is going on.

I'm a guild leader who logs on every day. Our guild got the famous "guild leader hasn't logged on for some time" message and the terminal started an election. I registered to run for election. Nobody else ran for election. The next day only a few had voted, but the terminal claimed that every member of the guild had voted for me! If another person who had not voted came and voted, this did not increment the vote counter, since it had already reached the full number of people in the guild. Bug, bug, bug!

I've already mentioned that bug before. It's not just effecting guild elections, but city elections as well.
