Having the same problem.
2 1/2 weeks ago we decided to change our guild name from something that had meaning to all the members to something that held our meaning but translated to others. I changed the name and it was accepted it said the change would take place in the next 7days. 1 1/2 weeks after that we realized that nothing had happened so we tried again. Again it was accepted but nothing happened. Getting very frustrated.

Kaiburr has had this issue was well. While we did have one name change that took, the councilmember who changed it went overboard, and changed the guild name, as well as the tag. (which was NOT supposed to happen!) I've been trying, off and on, to get things changed around ever since.

I've a guild on Eclipse, and this is a problem that needs to fixed. Truely, it should not be that difficult to fix.

It is tough to tell why a name change is not being carried out. I'll appeal for better error messages to be sent when a name change fails.

Well I'd think it would be a perfectly acceptable change. The case is that, when the guild name was set it was spelt wrong, Mountaine Regime, rather than Mountain Regime. Maybe mountain is too generic a term to be allowed?
