I would like to say thanks for the efforts towards making PAs better.

I would also like to throw in my support for reducing the amount of lots a PA hall takes if it is actually used to host the PA. For people who use a hall for their home, shop, or crafting area and not to host an actual association, I'm fine with keeping them at 9 lots - that's a fair trade off for having a building so large that youchoose for your personal use. For PA leaders, however, I don't feel the current system is very balanced. PAs are groups of people that come together under a common cause, that enjoy playing together -- something that helps keep people in the game to some extent. SOE should cut the lots to only a few or nothing at all to promote this group play. Currently a player association leader has one lot left after placing a hall that is used by the entire PA while the officers and members still have room for harvesters, factories, extractors, farms, houses, etc. A public association cannot exist in the current system without a public association hall, which in this sense is not for personal use, but group or public use since it is mandatory in the creation of a PA. A leader is taking a large personal hit for the public good due to the current way the guild creation system is designed.

I think a few reasonable remedies exist. 1) Stop requiring a PA hall for guild creation. Keep the halls in the game for people who want them, but call them "large hall" or something similar. Make the guild creation system like that in EQ, Shadowbane, E&B, etc. Then for guild management, the leader can put a terminal in his/her home or another less bulky building that has been designated for the guild's meeting place. 2) Make a PA hall like city buildings and make them no lot cost to the person placing it, but only make it no cost after a guild is established through the building terminals. To stop people from just establishing guilds so they can place free large homes, make the guild membership minimum 5 or 10 people like is done in other games. 3) In the odd case where the previous 2 optionswould becompletely impossible, at least cut the lots down to 3 or 4 so a PA leader has a chance to earn a living as a crafter or resource dealer, or have a nice house that 20 people aren't running in and out of all day long on guild business.

I would hope this is on the table for change sometime in the near future. If not, I would be eager to see the developers' reasons for keeping the penalties in the game.

Please make it so that you can add your guild to your friends list or to an Administrator list or access list for a building by typing "guild". You already have the method for doing it (send email to the guild by typing guild into the To: line of an email), please extend this to include access lists and friends lists. Thank you.

Boozefiend.. try reading the other discussions here since there are a couple regarding guild wars and their problems rather than creating a new post with huge text just to get attention. People respond better to constructive help than just ranting.
