Thread: Guild Title Bug Introduced in Publish 12
The UI screen for character (the one with the 9 ham bars and credits) now shows Faction Rank. This was not documented, but is a welcome addition. However, that was the spot for Guild title information - and the only place in the UI that Guild titles were displayed.
I asked for a different way to display faction rank.

I have already noted this in the publish notes, but since many people don't read that thread, here is the info:

I'll make sure to forward this on as I didn't notice it. Thanks for the catch.
The titles did not get replaced. If you resize the window to a very large size it will still show
Name > Guild Name > Guild Title > Faction Rank
Just with the way all that information crammed in the top bar title it makes it look like it was replaced since most people keep them as small as possible (Myself included, I just happened to see part of my guild name and resized the window). I've asked if it would be possible to maybe hard code some of this into the window itself rather than putting too much information on the title bar. I think that would be a preferable option myself and we'll see if it's possible to do at this time or not. Just letting you know what I found out about this issue when I logged in. And I especially wanted you to know that the titles are still there, just harder to view.

Is it really that big a deal? You're the only one that see's that panel.
Personally I already knowwhat guild I'm in, I would rather know myRank honestly.
Actually, yes it is. It's not that we don't know what guild we're in. It's that the one place where the guild titles showed is now gone and pretty much makes one of our features more unknown or useless than it was before. And it shouldn't be that way.
If anything, I think the faction rank should have been hard coded below your "Covert" "Overt" box showing your rank and perhaps your guild rank hard coded in the /examine window of your character and in the Character sheet with basic guild info as well. It's just my opinion on it, but I'm sure a very large portion of the PA Community agrees since Titles tends to be one of the biggest requests we get.

Well, assuming one is overt or of the same faction, anyway.
(Personally, I still think it's at least a little silly and defeating of the purpose to see coverts running around with the titles "Imperial Ace Pilot" or "Rebel Ace Pilot.")

After all, what does it mean to be a covert Imperial? That you "secretly" support the government that rules over you? That's like saying someone is "covertly" American or French. Honestly, everyone should be Imperial at creation given that they are citizens of the Empire. The Imperial recruiter that has you join the Empire should instead be from COMPNOR or ISB, and Imperial citizens could become covert/overt operatives of one of those agencies.Again, apologies given that this is the PA forum, but I wanted to respond to the previous post.
That would make sense, but I'm not sure how well it would be recieved by the community. I mean, in the movies a lot of people are neutral not caring one way or the other. I mean, while technically they are citizens of the Empire, they aren't necessarily supporting them in any way.
I think this would be something interesting to discuss when they start talking about the GCW Revamp, as it would probably involve any potential changes.

The last time I saw this brought up, the answer from a dev (if I remember right) was that while it would make sense, they are tring to find ways to encourage people go to imperial and give imperials advantages over the rebs - and this would be a clear disadvantage to the imps.
That said, I think think it could work if the imps had a clear strength modifier when overt.
/unhijack thread?
