they should add in guild symbols that the guild leader can make or someone can beassigned the ability to make it and you can put the symbol on a flag that can be set up in town or whatever and a flag that a few ppl can be assigned to be able to wear on their back as you go into battle with a nother guild/faction (of course these assigned ppl could choose to have the flag up or not) and have the symbols be able to be put on your armor/clothing and vehicles I think that would be a nice touch to go along with having guild tags having a symbol would make it possible to show alliances bymerging 2 symbols together to make 1.

also a small something I was thinking about is they should add a chat channel for allied guilds that way they could call out for help over the channel wen needed and stuff like that.

this was all just thoughts I had that I thought might be fun and would add to the hole being in a guild experience

I think that these ideas would be really nice to implement as well, and I'll make sure they're in our Wishlist.

I've always wanted to display a ranger banner (like we have in our highest level camp) in our PA hall.

Even something Tailor crafted would be nice, with a choice of patterns or symbols -- with two or 3 different colors on it, there should be plenty of variation to use as your own PA banner.

(BTW, thegreatmop, You can already set up your own player created private chat channel and have multiple guilds join it.)

Yes, you can, but the way I think he'd like it to be is more like guild chat. Where as all members of the alliance are auto added into the channel rather than saying "Hey join this channel" and then trying to get everyone in it. This way it saves the trouble and does it for us.

Yeah, after I posted that I read some proposals here about multi-guild chat with guilds who are allied with each other. That's a much better idea creating your own channel.

While your idea is great, and I support it, since we were granted with a Player Association forum, we have been asking for anything that can make PAs more distinct/unique. Even if it was allowing us to change our banner to one of 10 presets with our own color customization.

Well, I wouldn't want to take anything away from PA leaders or guild halls, so you make a good point.

I actually hadn't considered that, since my PA hall is a Tatooine style hall and has no banner. I was thinking of some free standing banner that could be placed anywhere inside the house.

I have posted a proposal of guild symbols several times, now I made an illustration on how the system would work and how the symbols would look like.

Guild Symbols V1

Basically there are three elements to create an unique guild symbol: shape, symbol and trim.

In thelightest version, you would select a shape, colorize it, select a symbol, colorize it then select a color for the trim (or turn it off, by using the same color as the background). The more advanced version has three symbol slots and a number of sets (they determine where your symbols are being displayed).

There are various shapes for the background and a number of symbols to choose from. Some symbols could be limited to guilds withfaction afiliation (e.g. faction guilds only), like imperial or rebel symbols. You made your guildsymbol with this system? You want to add it to your guild hall or want to create banners or even clothing? I have to offer two systems:

[A] Crafters in your guild get the ability to craft items with the guild symbol. Architects make guildhalls and banners, tailors can create certain clothing with the symbol on and the armosmith can attach the symbol to certain armor parts. All other crafters in your guild are able to attach the symbol to the examine screen of their items. This is maybe the easiest way.

[B]Tailors and armorsmith are able to create items with a placeholder. If worn by someone without guild, it simply displays nothing. Otherwise the placeholder will be replaced by the guilds symbol. You could e.g. trade a cloak with a placeholder to another guild, and it will display their icon once equipped. I know this is technical difficult, because models work with textures, and you would need to swap textures on the fly.I wanted to add this anyway (you never know). Devs could allow a kind of transformation-kit to one-time replace the placeholder with a guild symbol.

Geometric shapes fit well to star wars, plus some decorations and the official imperial and rebel symbols would make it. Add a skull, laurel spurge, a row of stars and others for the use in certain sets. Would be perfect, abuse free and as it seems doable.

Your comments are greatly appreciated.

That's actually pretty nice there. Too bad you're an Imperial!

I would support something like this. They would need to have a lot of symbols and shapes, so the likely hood of reproduction is low. Ontop of this, they can do the same thing with faction. Allow crafters to put faction symbols in the placeholder instead or ontop of guild symbols.
