Thread: Preview PA Issues and Suggested Remedies
- The member list should default sort alphabetically on the PA Terminal, consider additional sorting options as well.
- /guildremove needs a confirmation box -leaders accidentally quit due to invalid target issues, causing havoc for PAs
- Let the PA Leader voluntarily transfer power by declaring allegiance for another member. This would only work in cases where the incumbent has 100% of the current allegiance (to prevent circumvention of the allegiance process). This is already doable with a tweak where some members declare for the new leader, then the old leader quits the guild.
- Do not count members who have been inactive for 6 weeks(?) in the Allegiance votes for an incumbent leader, it makes changing leadership in an old guild impossible.
- Add guild chat to spatial tab by default
- Add error message for why a guild name/abbreviation change doesn’t go through.
- MOTD: a system message all guild members see on logging in (can include color) Guild email is great, but it can’t act as a constant reminder of important information.
- Guild tab in the CTRL+P menu with all members and as much member info as possible Other games include info like last online time, current title.
- Officer Chat – (if/when ranks are implemented)
- Automated dues option decided by the leader– by bank tax or mission payout tax
- Add a countdown for PA Update day to the guild terminal -the code for this already exists for cities.
- Add an option to view Allegiance standings
- Track and record the length of time characters have been in the guild and record it on the Guild tab (above) or PA Terminal.
- Change the title filter so that it no longer uses the character name filter, it keeps us from using even the simplest titles like “officer” as well as most military titles.
- Show guild titles on the /examine window
- Implement a ranks system of applying permissions: PA Leader assigns 10 different ranks, each with a title and array of permissions. Members can then be promoted or demoted to the proper rank. One of these permissions will be reserved for the default rank and permissions array that new members get.
- Add the permission to promote and demote members on the above rank spectrum. This would increase the ability to delegate tasks to other members.
- NEW: Add an in game “guild registry terminal” in capital cities. Leaders can add guild information, people can search for guilds that are recruiting. Ideally this list would be searchable by faction, number of members, role-playing (yes/no/sometimes), PVP (yes/no/sometimes). Any guild entry that is not updated within 4(?) weeks would be erased. ***Include a disclaimer that the information is only as valid as the information submitted by the guild leader.***
- Let sponsored members hear and/or speak in guildchat (leader toggles this)
- Let recruits apply for membership and provide information about themselves by visiting the PA terminal in a public PA Hall. No member would need to be present.
- Add guild barkers, which can stand in the PA Hall and shout information about the guild
We lack the tools needed to engage in intra-PA commerce
- Allow vendors in private structures, or allow Guild:ABBREV to make private vendors or targeted vendor sales.
- Allow the use of the Guild:ABBREV tag on structure admin lists
- Allow the use of the Guild:ABBREV tag on structures with an entry fee
- Add guild vaults with permissions for depositing and withdrawing credits and items.
We lack the ability to distinguish our PAs
- Emblems with a color/symbol combination that could be applied to clothing/banners
- Implement guild tattoos
- Guild badges that can be granted by the PA Leader
- Replace generic PA Hall banners with guild and/or factional banners
- Allow other structures to be used as PA Halls (see below)allowing greater definition forentertaining guilds and others
- Increase PA Hall storage amount
- Add elevator and treasury permission for the PA Hall
- Add public deposit ability on PA Hall structure terminal, as with cities
- Allow other structures to be used for PA Halls by installing a crafted PA Terminal (either as an optional component when the structure is made, or after it is placed, whichever is easier). To preserve the difficulty of getting a PA Hall the crafted Terminal should require one or more master professions.
- Use the “merchant tent” illusion to make PA Rooftops “inside space” and able to be decorated.
- Add additional unique PA structures.
- Implement Guild Alliances complete with alliance chat, alliance email, and war notifications
Guild war needs a revamp
- Guild war is rarely used because non-combat characters are easily griefed
- Implement a new type of guild war called “guild feud”. Apply the covert/overt system to guild feud such that everyone is covert when the war begins. A member may visit their PA Terminal to declare as overt for the purposes of the guild feud.
- Add kill stats, victory conditions, and time limits to guild war and guild feud
- Allow us to view the faction declaration and faction ranks of all guild members
- Implement guild faction affiliations and guild faction points
- Implement guild faction perks
- Implement kill stats and guild rankings
- Coverts in a factional guild won’t be blowing their cover just by being in the guild
- Guild leader may toggle the permission to allow individual members to hide their tag
- Those who want to role-play spies and special ops can now do so
- /guildstatus would still show the guild a person is in:
- so griefing would be nil
- to simulate having to do a little detective work to find out what guild someone is in
- to increase awareness and use of the /guildst command
If you can think of anything I have missed, please reply, and state which category you think your request should belong in.
- Allow special terminals for guild missions. For example: if a doctor needs a specific type of meatfor buff packs, he/she can put in a mission for the specific type of meat they need, the amount they need, and payment for the mission.The contractor prepays for the mission, and is paid upon completion of the mission.

In my humble opinion, this issue is probably the most important. Transfering the leadership of a PA in an expedient manner would be a huge help
- Allow the Guild Leader to delegeate all aspects of the terminal
- Display next update day and time (like a city terminal does)
- Display allegiance total count (like a city voting terminal does)
- Redisign interface to
- Allow you to alter all settingsfor a memeber without having to open the terminal and that member multiple times
- Always keep list of members open when editing them and have to deliberately close the window
Ex: New member joins PA, Guild leader finds name, opens that one, edits title (all windows close automatically), go back to the maininterface, open member list again, finds person again, open it, and make further changes.....this is a lot of hassle....
