I found some old posts regarding this bug but haven't seen anything recent. If anyone could offer some feedback, I would be thankful.
I'm the leader of a guild and have tried to change the guild tag three separate times and it never takes. I get the system message that it will take into effect within 7 days, blah blah. 8, 9, 10 days go by and no change. I've tried very uncommon abbreviations but still in the same boat. CSR response was... well you know.
Has anyone else come across this recently and found a workaround?
(btw big props to the successful 7 lots lobbying)

I haven't ever personally tried to change the guild tag, but I don't believe there is currently a work around. I've heard many people do it sucessfully though, I would think to just keep trying and hope it takes until a dev is able to free up the time to check into it. It could be a while though, so keep trying in the meantime.

If I remember correctly, I think you either have to catch it the day before the update, or change the name and tag at the same time......There are so many workarounds, it is tough to remember which one works around which bug...but if it works for you, tell us please.

Yes, by all means if you find a workaround that does work, let us know and we'll make sure it gets placed intot he FAQ whereever possible.

Excellent, thanks! I thought maybe because other co-leaders have permission to change guild titles, I would eliminate that variable first. But I will try your suggestions and report back.

Update: thanks major, your suggestion worked. I slightly changed the guild name and then changed the guildtag. I thought it would go in effect after the next server reset after a PA update, but that wasn't the case. Glad this was finally resolved. cheers!

Never did find out what it stood for. Haven't seen them around for a long time either.
Lame Developers?
Liquid Diarhea?
Does anybody still play that was in that guild? It was on Eclipse. Haven't seen them since December 2003.

I'd ask on your galaxy forum, more likely to get an answer from those who play on eclipse exclusively.

this is the unversal guild we are all in.. (LD) shows up over my head whenever I log off.. not sure what it means..
