I'm sure most of us have been there before .. you duel someone, or attack an overt from the opposite faction, and it turns out that the guy is a Bounty Hunter who keeps spamming Underhand Shot. Your back is on the floor and you get whooped.

Obviously this isn't a problem once we get Master Pistoleer and have a ranged knockdown of our own. Until then, how do you counter this move? Here are my thoughts ... I'm curious to hear if I'm missing anything.

1) Spamming "stand." Doesn't work, at least for me. I keep standing, but because he is spamming his knockdown move I end up taking damage from him without ditching any out.

2) Have a fast gun and be able to 1 or 2-shot kill him before he gets off a shot from his carbine. This is great, although it basically requires a) a super-fast gun, b) stopping shot, and c) luck.

3) Start the duel less than 10m apart and spam pistolwhip. This obviously works, although this doesn't help unless the idiot is dumb enough to let you up close to him.

4) Start the duel as far away as possible, then stack your bleeds and run after he's bleeding. Always a decent desperation move.

I'm running out of ideas ... anything obvious I'm missing? Right now it kind of sucks knowing guys who are one box from novice Bounty Hunter are kicking my butt.

Maybe skill attachments against posture down move can help.

Well movement can help. We as pistoleers get acc bounuses for moving and shooting he doesn't as a bh. So this could help even the field some. Use cover as you can find it to close the range. Stopping shot it good for damage but doesn't give you knock down.

Posture down is nto the same as knockdown, there are separate defense bonuses.

As a master pistoleer i have +30 defense vs knockdown. Its absolutely worthless in pvp.

Want to know what to do against it? Simple. Knock down first. Sad but true, winning in pvp in this game is all about whoever knocks down first.
