You need to be more specific about what you want if you are looking for a real answer.

The value most commonly used by combateers is damage per second, or DPS. This is calculated by adding the low and high end damage for your weapon, dividing it by 2, and then dividing that by the weapon's delay.

((MaxDmg + MinDmg) / 2) / Dly

Some people are simply interested in getting the biggest hits possible, which is to say that you simply care about the biggest maximum damage value possible.

Just to throw another thing to think about into the mix, keep in mind that various weapons produce different kinds of damage. Having a 50 DPS Scout Blaster is not necessarily better than having a 30 DPS DX2. Far fewer creatures out there will resist your DX2's acid damage than will the Scout Blaster's energy damage. However, if all you're doing is killing wimpy no-resist animals, it doesn't matter. For the most part though, you'll want to pay close attention to the details, because in the end you'll get more xp, faster, and cause less damage to your weapon in the process.

I have 2 I use one is a blaster 61-126 @ 1.4 the other is a FWG5 34-189 @3.3

well I dont really want to be more specific. I want to know what pistols people are using, and the damage and speed. the type of damage or the dot I can figure out.

Right now I think the FWG5 pistols are pretty good. I have a sliced one that does 43-183 dly 2.5 and from what I hear you can get the max damage over 200 with a dly of 2.0. I have to think that if you could find one of those your life as a pistoleer would be significantly easier.

hey guys, Im a ex-rifleman going for smuggler. now that Ive switched to pistol Im wondering which pistol does the most damage and also which pistol has the fastest speed?

currently Im using a scout blaster that does max 86, with speed of 3.x. this is doing ok for me at the moment but I know that Im going to need/want much better.

please post yourpistol specs, pistol level, and server you play on.

60-125 scout blaster @ 1.7 HAM: 13/20/13 or something like that. Unsliced. Get a better gun! 3.x speed is unacceptable. I had a dl44 that went 40 - 120 @ 2.2 that did me well for a while.

wow, the FWG that I bought does 84-245 damage (sliced) and 2.0 speed..........the only problem is that I can't use it yet, only have 20K more XP before I get the cert to use it

I'm using a nice, unsliced,Scout Blaster with56-118 damage, 1.8 speed, andlow HAM costs. There are better ones on my server, but they aren't that much better. I've been looking for a good FWG5 so I've got a pistol for heat susceptible mobs. I just got Novice Pistoleer last night, so I'll start looking for a good DX2. I've been keeping an eye out for SR Combat Pistols as well, but haven't seen any on my server yet. I know we've had some resource problems, so I don't know if that is affecting the supply of SRs or not. I might pick up a Striker for it's kinetic damage

The Scout Blaster has been really good to me so far. It currently seems to be a good, general use pistol.

you can get some pretty nice FWG5s out there now... I have a great one. But once the advanced crafting bug has been fixed so that our weaponsmiths can make real DX2s, DX2 will be the way to go.

Well, personally, i find dl44's to be speedy, and nice damage.. i dunno, i guess mines really good, cuz ive seen a lot on the bazaar that just... suck hehe, but ya.. once we get the weapon smiths to make dx2's that are better then they currently are, i think itll be a REALLY nice gun but for now, im stickin with my dl44... got me to pitoleer in the first place
