I own a Republic blaster and i am a novice pistoleer and a rebel. I tried to equip my shiny new republic balster when I found out .."OMG." It dont work i get this lame message about you lack the skills...etc etc....Well in my skill chart I have the republic blaster cert , I am a rebel, Am i missing a key factor here that I am not aware of? Like a magc Republic blaster genie that allows me to weild this uber gun of certification..???

well sorry for the smart ass remarks but it kinda mad me made to find out i have cert then buy a gun and not be able to use it...

Are you Overt? All weapons that require faction (as Rebel in this case) also requires you to be Overt.

Being Overt doesn't allow you to use it either

A master weaponsmith on my servermade a display Republic Blaster with the best materials he had available. I don't remember the stats, but theywere fairly nice. The thing that really stuck out to me though was the text describtion of the weapon in the Examine window. Not the description that a weaponsmith can put on it, but the description all the way at the bottom of the stats window. It said: "The venerable blaster of the Naboo security forces." Perhapsthe cert requires a certain amount of Naboo faction? The question then becomes, how doyou raise Naboo faction? Neither the normal thug NPCs, Borvos, Outcast Naboo, Outcast Gungans, nor Maulers give positive Naboo faction. Killing RSF now gives a negative Naboo faction hit. I was thinking of hunting the various Trade Federation NPCs you see around Naboo to discovery if killing them gave positive Naboo faction. Anyone tried that yet?

that is not a nice pistol at all. saban makes some nice fewg5 with min of 51 and max 171 and if you slice it the speed is as low as 1.4

fwg5 arent armor piercing. And they dont shoot cool green bolts either!

Hehe Was being stupid about hat but its a gun and this gun beats hell outta a fwg5 ...on light armor monsters... I have yet to see a medium armor piercing weapon... since dx2 is bugged and no one is even attmpteing to collect good materilas to build it unitl its fixed....I have a sr pistol that is liek 3 seconds but light armor peircing and on light armor monsters my 1.6 sliced fwg5 with no power up doing 51-150+ is no match compared to a armor peircing weapon... look at the main screen fro possibly the thing that i looked through when they talked about weapons... saying that a none armor peircing does 50% damage against light armor... a light piercing gun does 100% against light armor and 50 against medium armor. and so on and so on... But this post obviuosly was ignored by the pistoleer correspondent. If it comes down to spamming this topic till he sees it it shall be done...

Well, I killed a Trade Federation Avenger last night to check the faction hits. I got - Trade Fed (go figure), + Borvos and + Pirates. No Naboo adjustment at all. I don't think Gungans give Naboo faction at all, so I'm at a loss as to what might raise it. Getting a high enough Naboo faction is the only thing I can think of at the moment that might enable the certification. Does anyone know of any quests that give a positive Naboo faction adjustment?
