Yeah, that's pretty goddamned worthless considering pistoleers can't use block...one would think Pistol Speed +5 would be a nice touch instead of a stat that can't be used when holding a pistol...
First of all, what are you talking about "Block"?
Second, you should remember that everything the devs give us in this games is not meant to cater towards the elite professions and already established players. This gun is great for someone who is just a novice pistoleer or still in the pistol line of marksman. The smallskill modsjust help a bit, especially accuracy......sure you can get SEA's but it's a million times easier to craft than searching for SEA's.
Stats may not be great, but get it sliced and powered up and this is a nice gun for a master marksman or novice pistoleer.....and who said that we can't use the stats on this weapon...Maybe they now allow us to use counterattack.....we already have accuracy and dodge though......as for Block where did that come from.....you must have read it wrong.

You can not use tissues.. at least that's what my WS told me
Yes, you are given schematics for both items. You will get a couple of other schematics when doing these quests, including a Weaponsmith thingy, an apron, and a Demolitionists Belt.
I have finished Jabba and Rebel for the second time, but am yet to have any of the schematics used.
I am going to find a tailor tomorrow to make the Demo Belt if he can.
I dont know if the schematic has a limit on it. will tell you tomorrow about the Demo Belt, if its schem has a limited use, it will prolly apply across the board

I think he's talking about the +5 counterattack.
You can only use counterattack when you're using a carbine, just like you can only benefit from your dodge modifier when using a pistol.
Which means the +5 counterattack is completely worthless and probably a bug. It's like a rifle giving you +100 pistol speed.
"This gun is great for someone who is just a novice pistoleer or still in the pistol line of marksman."
But it's not. Admittedly with poor axidite iron you can't really judge how the guns would really turn out, but that weapon is completely useless, because the DL44, DL44 Metal, the FWG5, and the Scout Blaster are all better. Throw in the non-certified republic blaster which most marksman, and novice pistoleers are using and it is even less useful.
I"m basically speaking for the newbies and when your in the marksman level. At that level you don't get any dodge mods at all and any +5 bonuses you can get without having to use a skill attachment is a benefit even though you would only use this gun temporarily and not for a primary damage dealer. When you are low level, a +5 is almost like havingone box level in your profession because you don't even get any dodge mods until you reach novice pistoleer. Any extra mods you can get when your still in the lower tiers means more than you may think. To us masters and almost master pistoleers, this gun is not so great....and the mods won't do much for us because we already have high dodge and accuracy......but for a novice pistoleer or a 0-2-0-0 marksman it's a pretty nice little gun to have. Or simply just and alternative to having a FWG5.....sometimes people just want a different looking gun.....![]()
Get that damage sliced, slap a power-up on it and you have a pretty decent gun.looking at those stats, they seem on par with the DL44's and close to the scouts on my server. My scout blaster is only 165 max damage. So This gun with mods on it ain't that bad. it's already as fast as a scout or close to it.....but basically it looks like a average scout with mods on it to me.
anyway, Let's just say you get a 26% damage slice which gives it 78 - 204 damage, then add a 32% damage power-up and you have 103 - 269 with 2.8 speed (maybe less if you have 16% speed on that same power-up which would make it 2.3) +5 accuracy and dodge mods.....scratch the counterattack cause it probably doesn't work......and you have a pretty nice gun. Since this would be more of a newbie gun in my opinion, the power-up shouldn't expire too quick because you won't have enough speed skill mod at low levels to wear out the power-up so fast.....and I just credit a average damage slice.....you can easily get 30% damage slice on it also. A speed slice would be a waste I believe......now the only thing left would be the HAM cost......that's easily solved with the new chef food and/or buffs and depending on who crafts it, their skill and whether they are in a research city or not.....all the stats on this gun can be better.
Sorry, I just don't see a crap gun at all......Oh yeah, I almost forgot.....he didn't even have the best resources for this gun......so it still can potentially get better if only a very small difference, but any positive difference is always good. although, If it had AP1, then it would really make a huge difference....that's all it really needs to take the place of the scout and even the SR-combat pistol.
As for the non-certified RB, well the devs should make that certified somewhere....it shouldn't be a gun in the game that anyone can use (even non-combat professions) and it is better than all the marksman level guns that you need certification for.....the devs just made the whole line of weapon certificaitons in marksman obsolete with the RB......the only thing that would potentially stop a novice marksman or anyonefrom usinga RB from the jumpis a high price.
