Thread: The Devs really need to hear THIS

I was reading a thread on the Corbantis board today, in which people were talking about everyone jumping on the Rifleman-bandwagon, and somebody mentioned that he used to be a Pistoleer. He said that he was mad because the day he left Pistoleer to try Rifleman was the day before the Devs made Dodge start working and pumped up some of our Defense mods.
One reply to his comment was: "Pistoleer was never good....and never will be. its just a dabble class."
This is what people think about our profession, and that's pretty damn sad. Nobody is calling the Carbineers, TKA's, Swordsman, or other Combat Professions a"dabble class." This is what we've been reduced to, and I think the Devs need to hear how we're just being mocked because we're busted and sucky. Heck, Carbineers are twice as busted as we are, but you don't hear anybody talking down to them by saying they were never any good and will never be any good.
I'm at a loss for anything else to say, because I'm just saddened that this is what people think of the Pistoleer profession.

Well I just mastered Pistoleer recently, I can pretty much kill anything PVE, and combined with Master TKM I am a damn good PVP'er so let people think we are weak, I love to be underestimated. =) I'm not saying by any means that Pistoleers dont have their problems but I enjoy any class cuz "I" like, not too concerned about what someone else thinks, maybe thats just me /shrug

I agree with you KaernLegorah about the dabblers into pistol. It's surprising actually how many people just go for 0040 in pistol to help with smuggler. Then you always get those people that say pistols suck and that we should not waste skill points with it. Well personally I love pistols. I've been a pistoleer since day 1 and actually have tried carbine and rifle, but I always come back to pistols.
Maybe in the weapon balance they will make master pistoleer a title and skill that is respected by others. I hoping they will but not holding my breath. I find it's better to not expect a lot to happen in a patch and then when the patch is released you aren't as disappointed.

Well,
I dabble, and only in 0/0/0/3, and with no other combat skills other than CH,
I can still take down any current Juvenile kyrat, or any other 50k ham.
So how can they say not good?????
Well, now that they nerfed the bleed shot, now my pistol is worthless.
