A few weeks ago I got my first pistoleer skill, Techniques 1. Now that I have it, I reallu have no idea where to fight. I've got no pets, and Pistoleer is my only combat class. Any ideas where to me to solo some creatures for XP? And does anyone know a good place to fight with a pet?

Ok, get a full set of buffs (mind buffs too) go to Dantooine and take Savage Quenker missions. Some say you need to wear armor, I don't and have few problems. Get a droid or whatever as a pet, group with it and leave it at the terminal so you'll get higher XP for each kill. They have 4800-5000 HAM, and payout 3900XP if grouped. I just spammed bodyshot2 at them and they went down pretty easy, the occasional onemight get in melee range but your ok as long as your buffed (they seem to love doing mind damage, so make sure your either armored or buffed for that). I average about 100-125K XP an hour doing these.

I spammed torso shots on gurks, gives about 40k exp / lair, 2 lairs take about 10 mins.. But that is if you got bhpistol4

But now when I got fanshot I think of changing from gurks to large fambaa lairs..

I use Gurks on Lok, too. I get 30k per lair, ungrouped. I should try the probot trick and see how much it goes up.

I can usually get two lairs in one dose of muon. If I want to take things easy, I can take them down drug-free, but I still self buff before I go in so I don't need to worry about heals. With some good shots in Techniques, you can go prone and knock one down pretty well before it starts to come. Use partience and only fanshot when all the spawns aggro on you. Position yourself so you don't hit the lair with fanshot.

Only thing I don't like about them is that they are strong BAF (Bring A Friend). You may have to take 2-3 on at once. Watch their resistances, they can vary. Good thing is that they don't deathblow, so if you make a mistake, you're just going to be on your back for a minute (unless you make mistakes three times in a row really quick.)
