Do pistol techniques' defences (dizzy, knockdown, stun, blind and posture change) work with other profiencies? For example; with master heavy swordman 's or teras kasi master 's.

I could very well be wrong, but from what I've read from others. You get the defense mod for whatever weapon you are holding. For example with Pistoleer you get defense vs KD 50 and with swordsman you get def vs K 60 (just making up numbers for example) you don't get 110 against KD...if you are holding a pistol you get 50 and if you are holding a sword you get 60.

Hope that makes sense. Again, i could be wrong, this is just what i've gathered from other posts.
