Thread: Best way to go for pvp?

I have been master pistoleer/ master CH for a year and a half. We all know it's badass for pve but useless for pvp. I want to get into the pvp game more and am not sure which direction to take after I drop CH. I have heard m pistol/m fencer is good for the mods, but is fencer really enough to counteract the weakness' in pistoleer? I originally thought of m pistol with the bh pistol tree...but some seem to think the smuggler pistol tree is more useful for pvp? I'm looking for pros and cons on all master pistoleer templates for pvp.

My favorite pvp template of all time is...
master pistoleer
bh pistol 4
smuggler dirty fighting 4
investigations 3
With bh pistols you have your mind hit (eye shot) which also blinds (ive fought rifleman and they wont land a shot at close range 
) also torso shot to add fire.
) also torso shot to add fire.With smuggler dirty fighting line you have last ditch which is the highest dmg pistol attack and also stuns, usually has a long delay but with all the spd you have you cap it. And you also get low blow and feign death, low blow is your ranged KD(always nice

Thats the template i'm going on my alt, I went up the BH pistol line first because it is the best line to get for accuracy and pistol speed... then pistoleer and will finally get smuggler pistols, the melee mit 1 in that is a nice bonus.

Hey, Thanx for the info! Have you yourself ever tried the pistol/fencer combo? I'm curious about that one, but will probably go the pistol/bh/smug combo when it's all over...seems like the best all around template so far.
Oh and I thought you needed invest 4 to be able to hunt PC's? I seem to remember that from my husbands holo grinding days but I have never tried bh. Sounds like this could be fun!

No Jedi hunting is invest 3, as the driver of a jedi too i think it should be master, but then that is just to reduce the number of dabblers chasing after me

the template mentioned above is great, offensively. I've played pistols in some format for about 2 years now, and back in the day, that one wreaked havoc on people.
To stay a little more defensive (ie., stacking) my current template is:
master pistols
0040 smuggler
4440 fencer
4304 teras kasi
with a point stuck in FS ranged accuracy.
I lose direct mind damage, but people have a REALLY tough time even hitting me, much less getting states to stick. I start off using a fencer dot weapon to spam dizzy, then once both stick, i switch to pistols and lowblow. getting the mean dot and dizzy/kd right off makes a lot of people panic, and at that point it's just a matter of time before lastditching with the 480 geo or the 596 de10 ftw

that leaves you no medic skills which you will need for jedi... i use to have dirty fighting 4 it was a good damage output but simply beacuse i didnt have medic i didnt last long.

I'm curious as to how the TK plays into the pistol template. Does it have useful mods or do you just like being TK? I have never done anything other than pistols and CH so I don't knowcrap about melee profs, but i'm warming up to the fencer addition. Also not sure if I could handle being without any medic, especially still being so new to pvp.

Wow, after logging in and checking out the TK trees I can see where the defenses really add up! I'm wondering if its more worth it to have meditate 4 or scrap it for novice medic though? So far I have yet to pvp alone, there always seems to be a somewhat capable doc around, but i'm sure i'll find myself without one at times, so which is the more beneficial skill to have? I really wanted to fit the bh pistol tree in somewhere, but this template seems very well rounded as long as I can get the hang of "dirty fighting" as my only offense. Hmmmm so many roads to choose from.... why couldnt CH just be good for pvp lol

Well me personally ive never pve'din mylifeexcept to grind my template used to be the invest 3 bh pistol 4 dirty fighting 4 and 0-4-4-4 piastoleernovice medicit was good but with the here say of novice brawler to not be able to intimidatei droped the smugglerline dirty fighting picked up master pistoleer masterbh (for fast blast) novice medica great templatebeacause last ditch was good but stopping shot is almost as good close enough and fast blastthe shiz it hits all 3 mind pools in the same shot it is uber with the accuracy and speed of master pistoleer i suggest that template
