I know most of you arent Squad Leaders, myself just quiting Master Squad Leader, but this news is very disheartening. The Captain was one of the best correspondants i knew, and an extremely hard worker. He sent in over 3 long reports, never getting more than a "We'll check into it" or he just got no response at all. I really don't know what to do, when some of the hardest working people quit this, it takes strength away from us. Why must the DEVs do this? TH has done nothing...nothing is getting fixed and nothing will get fixed.

Sorry for me posting this here, but i just needed to rant/complain and since the only other profession i was was Pistoleer this is where i had to turn.

I just made a post on Correspondent forums, urging the Captain not to quit. He was an AWESOME Correspondent ... one of the very, very best in my opinion. He has a right to be upset and angry at what happened, because it was wrong, but I really wish he wouldn't quit because the SL profession really needs him.

I'm curious how many of the orginal correspondants are there? How many have retired out of frustration? I know that the first TKA one quit cause he had to, as did the first BH one I belive. The commando's can't seem to keep one.

Thank you, Rebelinformant, for your personal support. I can only hope that at some point I can look up to the correspondents and say "Hey, they are making a difference and they are being respected for it universally."

Cpt. V is a real Leader. Hardest working SOB in the galaxy. but the poor guy was beating his head into a wall. I wish him well in everything he does.

Captain V's resignation was sad news for this Master Pistoleer and Master Squad Leader...honestly, I love being a Pistoleer, but I sometimes wonder what rights Pistoleers (and BH's and Commandos especially) ever have to complain about the problems within their profession. Try walking in the shoes of a Squad Leader, Droid Engineer, or (formally) a Chef, among others, to understand what it truly means to be in a broken profession. Pistoleer is golden in comparrison.

That being said, it certainly doesn't say much about the professions in this game...especially, if this is as good as it gets...

Kinda makes you wonder whether SOE cares about its customers or not. I mean if they had spent all the time they put into Player Cites (yawn)into fixing the professions we'd be happy campers...so what do we have now...a bunch of cities that are broke too.....LMAO someone in that organization needs to be fired! But then again...we are still paying them to treat us like crap sooooo.......!

I have to believe they care about their customers. Assuming TH makes around 40k a year in his new job (just a guess here) they have invested a not insignificant amount of money that could have been spent on a programmer or applied to the bottom line.Being a corporation theyhaveto make money. Bringing in new customers makes money and mounts and player cities helps bring in new players. However, they need to work on their retention a little more and put some serious work into the professions. That's where people spend all their time in the game. Achiever or not, everyone is trying to level up their profession and if the profession stinks they will get bored or jaded and quit.
