Hi all.

I have been reading these boards for quite sometime now and i was curious about one thing. I have read numerous posts praising the FWG and Rebulican Pistol and even some of the less popular weapons like the Tangle pistol. My question for you all is whats wrong with a SR Combat Pistol? Why don't people use them as much? Am i missing something about them..i mean they are AR1. Any explanations would be appreciated.

I love the SR myself. The damage is good, the AP is nice, with a slice and/or a power up the speed is just fine too. I carry one at the moment sliced for speed with a 32% damage power up. I am doing 85-206 with a 1.2 speed, which is comperable to most non-uber pistols. But what I like most about it is the over all look of the weapon, it just looks tough to me. That and it is the weapon that Ponda Baba pulls on Luke and Obi lops his arm off for his trouble.

The biggest problem with SR is it's range. SR= Short Range, it tops out at 40-some-odd meters.

It was my energy weapon of choice till the republic was fixed. AP1 is nice, bein able to hit stuff that isn't standing on you with an AP1 gun is better.

Each pistol has it's place, with the possble exception of the SR now that the republic works.
