Thread: Best way to take down those TKA and Doc template fellas?
I have 0 4 4 4 in Pistoleer and the full BH pistol line. Whats the best take down method u pistoleers have found versus the TKA/Doc templates? Their like a sponge.. they can absorb all sorts of crap and stay standing.
So far i been kiting and spamming eyeshot.. but thats very iffy.. they can get lucky KD and its almost over.
Any thoughts? All advice is welcome.
Don't say run.. I'm already running ![]()

ummm.
knock them down.
In order for a Pistoleer to KD anyone they must get within Melee range, hence Pistol MELEE Defense 1. Get within Melee range of a TKA / Doctor and you are pretty much dead meat.
then uhhh supression fire while kiting?
Suppression Fire has a 30 second timer so even if you land it once you won't land it again for at least 30 seconds.
prepair to run for about 15 sec after the panic shot, they are both on a 30 sec timer and you still have to put him down
I have to agree that Smuggler is your Ace in the Hole. Simply put, after all the changes, and nerfs, State Effects still rule pvp. Panic Shot ends all debates. Panic and Low Blow or Fanshot combos will win virtually every fight.
Fastgun
I use Mind Poison and kite to keep my distance, while hitting them with Stopping Shot. Since Stopping Shot is random HAM, it hits mind too, and between it and the poison, I can take them out more times than not.
Since you don't have Mind Poison, I'd recommend you continue your tactic of using Eye Shot. Against a player who's health and action are buffed, Eye Shot is probably going to be your best attack, regardless of your opponent's class. The fact thatTKMs can use Force of Will makes your job a little more difficult, but if you can just keep your distance you should be able to wear them down. As the player above mentioned, try using supression fire to change their posture. I know it's on a timer, but if you hit it just once it should buy you enough time to fire off several Eye Shots. It only takes about 3 or 4 to bring mostplayers down if you're using a good scatter pistol, and their change of posture should buy you the few seconds you need to get off your shots (given that you'll be firing at one shot per second).
I find kiting works wonders.
Most melee people, including TKA Masters, don't even use the tools they have at their disposal to trip you up. Nobody uses Intimidate, which drops your damage to 1/3 of its regular output. Nobody uses Warcry, which delays you like a Panic Shot. Both of those can be used from 30 meters away. Both will SEVERELY prevent you from infliciting damage on them. But since nobody uses them, hey, no sweat.
If they have Master Brawler, they can do better Intimidate and Warcry (with a 20-second delay!), and KD you from 20 m away with Lunge2. But how many Master Brawlers do you see running around? It's a great profession that nobody gets.
So kite away. If you have Dirty Fighting skills, wonderful - it'll be much easier. But if not, you can stillkite everyone to death with ease. Just lay some nice bleeds on there and whip out the Stopping Shot and/or Body Shot. The Doc will probably be so busy healing and applying First Aid that you'll be able to finish them off in a decent amount of time.
I am a tka master and unfortunately warcry is bugged and there is a wierd delay before it starts, same with intimidate, AND with BH/Pistol combos we usually dont have enuff time to do stuff like that (we can be easily 3-4 hit'd with eyeshot :-/)
TKA without armor
/panicshot /last ditch /lowblow /last ditch /bodyshot3
Dead
TKA with armor
Choose pistol that armor is weak to put on Powerup
/Panicshot /last ditch /lowblow /last ditch /last ditch /last ditch
Dead
In the end the one that gets the first shot off at master level has the best chance of winning.
TKA gets off first shot its kd/dizzy and then uac3 tell your dead.
I've found out this combo on an armored target is quite unkillable.
They can have action and health of 3k and mind of 1500 simply with the buffs stacking.
Also their dizzy/KD makes it impossible to fight back in a city fight.
Fair enough if it's on open terrain kite away, in a city you're pretty much dead.
yes thats the problem most fights are in the urban areas... they done made these martial artists so uber that conventional weaponry and skills are negated in close quarters combat.
Its like fighting Jet Li everywhere and wondering why he owns u even while u empty an MP5 in his face.
