I heard that post-patch DX2 have AP that works. Was wondering if this was true. I mean it's probably 1 line of missing code so you'd think it would have been fixed already anyway.

Um... it is my understanding that AP on ALL weapons is still broken, not just the DX2. My understanding is:

Target is unarmored with no resists: AP works for weapon

Target is unarmed with vulnerability to weapon type: AP does not work and vuln is not counted.

Target is armored with resists to weapon type: AP and resists work against total damage.

Target is armored with resist to weapon type: AP, armor and resists work.

Target is armored with no resist or vuln to weapon type: AP and armor work.

Target is armored with vuln to weapon type: AP does not work and vuln is not counted.

This was supposed to be fixed in the big patch but I truely do not know.

Last time I tested AP didn't work on players that were unarmoured.

Havn't tried it since the big patch so who knows...

Is this true? I am sure I would mean that I would have to buy a new one, but if it works I will.

I haven't tried either as I am working musician. However there used to be a guy who did some pretty good studies on this very subject.... he did a ton of math for all the weapons, i just can't find his post.

Was it VolstedGridban? He did a great post called "In-depth Weapons Comparison." It's stickied on the BH forum and here's a link: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=bounty_hunter&message.id=78949

Thunderheard can you comment on this question please? Does armor piercing damage now work for the DX2 or the Republican Blaster?
