Thread: Too much in one line?

I was on TC last week, and it seems they put the ranged mitigation in the Pistol Technique line.

To me this just seems like a stupid idea. This is already the most popular line, especially for dabblers. They love to pick it up for the +knockdown and +dizzy defense. Not to mention stopping shot and fan shot. Now they will also be getting level 2 ranged mitigation out of it.

I think ranged mitigation should be moved to either the pistol grips line, or the pistol marksmanship line. Both of these seem to be less popular then the others, and could use a little bit of a boost IMO.

I agree with this Syrah ... until a couple days ago I thought the Devs had scrapped damage mitigation entirely, because that's with TH told us, but he was wrong -- it's going to be in the next patch.

Now that it's back in, I want to see if we can get Mitigation moved to Grips or Marksmanship ... the four lines in our profession (and all professions) should be roughly equal. There's no good reason why a Grips 4 Pistoleer should be outclassed by a Techniques 4 Pistoleer ... having really unequal lines just makes dabbling ultra-attractive. Dabbling is fine, but we need to make four equal choices -- not one clear choice and three crummy lines.

Don't get your hopes up, though. The BH and Smuggler Correspondents have asked questions about Damage Mitigation over a week ago and have received no answers thus far. No reason I'll be more successful than them. *shrug*
