How can I tell when my +Pistol Speed is high enough to max out the speed on a given gun? (I've heard that 1sec is the cap for speed)

and don't forget to take into consideration that specials usually take longer than regular shots.

For normal shots you only need a pistol with 2.1 speed or less if you have a pistol speed mod of 54 to shoot at a max speed of once per second. at pistol stances 4, you get 54 pistol speed mod and another +20 at master pistoleer. As a master pistoleer, you only need a gun with 3.8 speed or less to hit the speed cap for normal shots.

Specials have speed modifiers that make them take a little longer to hit the speed cap. I don't have the numbers for each special in front of me at the moment, but you will need higher than the +74 speed you get as a master to hit the speed cap for specials....so basically you'll need pistol speed attachments to get higher than +74 or +79 (you get an extra +5 as a master marksman)

to shoot fanshot once per second you need a pistol skill mod of at least +82 when using a weapon with a speed of 2.1 IF you have the luxury of having a weapon that shoots lower like 1.5, 1.3, 1.0 then the lower your pistol speed skill mod can be to hit the cap.

anyway, any speed skill mod over 85 is enough to shoot all pistoleer specials at 1 time per second.

Excellent... then with my BH/partial pistoleer template I'll be shooting at around +109... should I then sacrifice a few of the pistoleer skills for other options? Will +109 be unnecessarily fast?
