I have bh pistols column so i use a scatter but you could also use a dx2 which is also acid damage. Get buffs go to dantooine with some decent kinetic armor and run graul mauler lairs, they are acid weakness and give me 4800 exp each and that is at bh 0040 pistols 0034, still getting near 5k each. Anywhere from 10-15 spawn from each lair so that is 40-70k ish xp per lair and they die really fast. I use torsoe shot and then just healthshot 2 until they are dead..
It is super simple and really fast.

I have been doing something very similar. I join a solo group on Dantooine and find a high level quenker lair. It spawns Relip Reaper Quenkers... or something like that.... and like you said 10-15 come out at 4500xp each.

Squill cave is pretty good if you have a nice fwg5. Put all the pre-nerfs to good use if you have some.

what are you talking about? the squils have about 80% heat resistance, you need to go there with a geo pistol

this has been my strategy for my "how a casual gamer like myself master pistoleer with around 5 buffs, and never using a buff til the end" I mastered it, and usually with my buffs, I only actually do 1 hr of true hunting. Like the day I mastered, needed 45k XP for pistol grips 3, and then the 450k for grips 4. I did it in one buff with 49min still left on buffs. During middle of buff I ran out and got a bite to eat, socialized, then finished.
What I do is get in a solo group with 15-20 people in it. This way you have around 10-15 Graul Maulers spawning per mission.
5000*10=50,000XP+ 5000 for lair=55000
5000*15=75,000XP +5000 for lair=80000
So between say 50k-80k XP and that is without my added strategy of killing local spawns while waiting for maulers

Solo group mutated khmurras on talus. I get about 60k a lair, they are vuln to acid and drop herb meat.

Most squill types are actually vulnerable to heat - such as Mountain Squills. But resists on some mobs have changed recently... Jantas used to resist stun at 10% and now they are vulnerable...
I went all the way from Novice Pistoleer to Master just by doing Janta and Mokk missions on Dantooine with a Geno. About 150k xp per hour, pays about 200k cr per hour and dead simple. I'm sure critter lairs give more xp per mission, but I'd bet the missions take longer than it does to kill 4 or 5 cavemen.

Janta, like all npcs have different resists bases on specific type, a Janta herbalist will have different resists to a warrior which will be different to a shaman. Whether they are janta, mokk, dantari or kunga is unfortunately irrelevant, only their rank seems to matter.
A novice pistoleer killing a 5 spawn lair of janta proves that buffs and armour are totally out of control. It would take a novice pistoleer a good 20 shots (almost a full minute) to a single pool to drop one of those guys and you can't outrun all 5 forever. But you would gain about 25k xp for the mission, risky but effective. Critters would be better xp, but xp for time and of course the extra cash from janta might make you way better. I'll be sure to try it out when I next switch combat profession

That was the deciding factor to me - the time it took to complete the mission allowed me to run more missions per hour, and the pay was better.
Keep in mind, though, I wasn't just a Novice Pistoleer - when I embarked on the profession I was already a Master Bounty Hunter. Yes, I was buffed and I had good kinetic ubese, but I wasn't just some kid with Pistols 4 and a shiny new DX2.

Well, it sure doesn't hurt. The +60 to Accuracy and +50 to speed are nice (better than Master Pistoleer alone, in fact), but I'll tell ya... it gets even nastier when you stack in the Pistoleer mods and specials. Another +45 to accuracy and +49 to speed, combined with the +50 Accuracy and +30 speed at Master Marksman... +129 Speed and +165 accuracy mean you seldom missat any rangeand can use any special with little delay. I dropped MBH to get the points to pursue Dirty Fighting in Smuggler... even Last Ditch seems to hit the cap with my 2.6 speed Geno, I wish I could find the site that had the exact numbers (can someone show me where that is or help me figure out how the speed equation works?)
