I have desided to take on the challenging role of an aspiring Pistoleer, but I need help.

There are so many pistols out there that offer different things to entice you, and yet at

the same time frusterate you to no end. So I am writing here to ask anyone whattheir

opinion is when it comes to the best Pistol, and why they think it...

I hope that I get some responces, and that I can get a pistol that is the best !

If you look at it, there really aren't to many options for a Pistoleer. Not taking into account the marksman weapons, there is the Geo Blaster, Rep Blaster, DX2 and DE-10 (for masters only).

The DE-10 and Rep Blaster are almost the same gun. Energy damage with light armor piercing. DE-10 is a better gun. While these can get to pretty high damage, many mobs have high resistance to energy damage. These are still standard weapons to use.

Geo Blaster is a nice gun for PVP because of its stun damage, but lacks elsewhere because ofits AP 0.

DX2 is an underrated weapon imo. Acid damage with light AP. Its a great all around weapon. Many things have vulnerability to acid,and is really our only weapon to fight high end mobs with...if you can even say that. Most mobs have high effectiveness against all the damage types we have, but usually the lowest % is acid.

Marksman weapons such as the FWG5 and Scout Blaster are good for tooling around town and taking out chubas and such, but they really lack against anything that has high HAM and/or armor. Today's doctor buffs will allow you to use these weapons against some higher end creatures, but expect that to stop when the combat revamp hits sometime in 2005.

Tangle, not even worth it. Our kinetic gun...never used it and have never seen one. DL44 is good for nostalgia and can get to pretty decent damage and speed. But again, your not going to be taking on much high lvl content with it.

Niklesnitz, you say that the geo sonic blaster is only usefull in pvp? well have you looked at the resistances of a lot of critters and npcs ever? I personally use mine for fighting storm troopers, huurtons and a whole host of other baddies. seems to do very well since they're vunerable against it. throw on a power up and you can slaughter the Weapons Development Facility or any other imperial spawn area with ease.
