So am I to understand that a Master Pistoleer (master of ANY pistol supposedly) will NOT be able to use a DL44-XT PISTOL?

this is true... atm atleast. On TCep3 I am MPistols/MBH and i can not equip it anymore.

Kinda makes sense to put this in the smuggler tree, think they need some love and is similar to what Han Solo (smuggler) used.
Nor can we equip the rebel intimidator (master squad leader?), enhanced scatter (master BH), and another pistol I think which is in a different profession.

Nothing against the smugglers, they've definetly gotten the short end of the stick for some time now, but that ispretty disappointing. I was really looking forward to having that as a MP.....Maybe they could give us another version called the Modified DL-44 or something (ala Republic Blaster vs. Modified Republic blaster). Kind of a cold move there, to give with one hand and take away with the other, but that's what happens sometimes.

Considering this is in testing phases, they never actually gave it to anyone or took it away. If they do it after it goes live, then you could really complain. I'm glad it's in the master smuggler box, especially since the coolest looking gun is the DE-10 and that's in master pistoleer. The DL44 is iconic to the smuggler community and belongs in the smuggler box imo. I'm gonna be both masters so it makes no difference to me, it's just a matter of putting the guns in the right places and I think they are doing it right.

Like I said, I don't have a beef with smugglers, or with them having an iconic weapon in their skillset. If it were my decision, I'd make it accessible to masters of both classes, or make another version (Modified DL44) available to Master Pistoleer. It's not a huge thing and I'm not going to get too worked up over it, but dual certing it or making another version for master pistoleer would make sense, as well as a nice gesture to the people in the pistoleercommunitywho initally asked for a betterversion of the base weapon.

Master Carbineers don't get the proton carbine supposedly.....(bounty hunters do).... same concept

In my personal opinion, Smugglers should get a black "Modified DL-44" and Pistoleers should get the metal "DL-44 XT" ... but I doubt that will come to pass.

I agree, the DL-44 is iconic so naturally we'd like it too, but seen as Han was a smuggler, give the smugglers the appropriate black DL-44. We could have the metal one then and feel satisfied that we too get a slice of a canon weapon. I hope it's not too much to ask, and I won't throw my rattle out of the pram if we don't get it, but it would be really nice if we could use a master level flavour of the DL-44. If nothing else I'd like to see a wider variety of weapons to choose from at the top.

Yea I think it should be the black one for smugglers. Who knows where they get their ideas from hehe.
