Thread: I have a small problem...

I am currently master pistoleer/bh pistols 4/dirty 4, but I'm grinding Force sensitive xp (I can't afford the grenade grind, I love pistols, and since I won't finish before the CU I'll stick with pistols until it comes out, plus I want to see what the CU does to us pistoleers anyways...). I was grinding at my favorite spot until the spawns changed and are now too weak to give me xp at the rate I used to get (it was an Imperial bunker where I could cap 900k pistol xp in an hour; I averaged 55k xp every five minutes, then when I ran back to the beginning of the bunker, the npc's would already be spawned). I haven't found any place so far that's as good as this bunker used to be, so I'm asking for advice from anyone who might know of a place similar so I can continue at the same rate of xp. I could ask about this in the FS forum, but since I'm a pistoleer, I felt this is better suited here. I tried the Nightsister Labor camp/cave and it wasn't bad, but still not as good as my old spot. Any suggestions?

Natural Spawns on Endor or Dathomir (north island) all give very good XP and there are plenty around to kill.

Thanks, I'll try those areas out, and hopefully the rate at which I get xp is close (if not better) to my old spot...

My old spot was the Imperial bunker just outside of Kaadara behind the starport. At the time I was using it there were 14 Imperial npcsin there, most giving about 5k pistol/500 combat xp (the few weaker ones about 2500-3000 pistol xp). By the time I got to the bottom level (only like 2 floors; a small bunker), finished those Imps off and ran back up to the front, they were already re-spawned, so I could continously run from top to bottom and cap 900k pistol xp in an hour. I believe the level of Imps changed (lowered recently because for a while Naboo was firmly Imperial, but just recently Rebels took over, here on Sunrunner anyways), so I stopped using it...

There are 2 rooms in the warren now with incredible spawn rates. 5 to 6 mid/high level mobs which respawn as soon as one dies. the only prob is that these places are usualy camped by jedis now (at least on the servers i m on). another prob is that dant is still very laggy - with the heavily increased spawn rates in the warren and some grinders down there the lag can be real bad now.

that's a no-no, it's considered exploiting to camp it (CSR's have said so, a post about it post was on the jedi boards a while back on it) so you can run into many problems trying to camp a laggy over camped spawn, not a good plan

I've ground out 4 FS lines with just Master Pistoleer... 1k east of the Research Outpost on Endor and run a fanshot macro and blast everything, typically 900k Pistol xp within an hour, depending on how good the spawns are.
Group with a pet (mine is a CL20 rebel trooper) and look out for anything that cons yellow or over (con colour may differ depending on the pet you use.
You can also grab a couple of missions east if you want to.
Shoot all wild lairs (and mission lairs if you are feeling mean) till half health then target a Mob and move on to the next, dragging spawn behind you and fan shotting them... the lair will spawn all the mobs when you come back, you may want to drop a few /way so you know where you left a lair.
If you run...
/fanshot
/pause 1
/macro spamfanshot
Then all you have to do is tap escape or click to untarget the corpse and it will target the next thing that you have aggrod. If you want to you can add "/ui action untarget" to the macro as well to do that for you. You can also hit auto run then CTRL+SHIFT+S to run around in circles, this is quite nice for running around a lair and hitting mobs with fanshot.
Then all you have to do is hit tab (or whatever key you have targetting bound to) every now and then to pick what you want to shoot at.
Look out for Blurrg Raptors as these take too long to kill vs xp they give... and if you are rebel combatant there are Dark Nova Troopers and AT-ST's but I find these break up the grind quite nicely. The Dark Novas can drop some decent weapons too, but I call in a few friends for them... the ones armed with AP0 weapons are very easy if you have an ADK PSG... and you can just run your fanshot macro using a DX2... and wait about an hour... I normally call a rifleman guildy to come and help. The more heavily amred ones take a bit of tanking and healing.
I have also got some very nice SEA's from the NPC's that gotthe my way... Ewoks and Marurders.
And yes, I have done this far too much.
