Thread: Best Pistol?

In your opinion what is the best pistol for a master pistoleer to use? No BH skills. just Pistol tree and marksman tree.... also would like to know what is best combination of specials.. I have absolutely no idea so any suggestion is welcome.. thanks

Hopefully my krayted geonosian sonic pistol when its ready tomoz.

But otherwise its the DX2 for novice pistoleer, the republc blaster.

I am new to being a pistoleer and was wondering what is considered to be the best weapon? Is one better for PvE and another best for PvP?

For pistoleer, there is no best weapon. Due to the fact that different have different attack types, I use 4 pistols. An fwg5 for heat vulnerable enemies, a modified republic blaster for energy vulnerable enemies (Not many that i've seen), a scatter pistol/dx2 for acid vulnerable enemies, and a geo blaster forPvP since it has stun damage, and most people don't have stun protection on their armor. I wouldn't recommend using the geo blaster in PvE combat, unless your loaded with money because they cost a fair amount of credits.


So use a variation of those pistols that I said before for PvE, and the geo blaster for PvP.

first off if your looking for only one weapon to be your uber kill all then pistoleer is not for you, as a pistoleer you should have at minimum an energy, heat, acid, stun, and kineticweapon that's depending on your preferences 5-7 weapons for pistoleer alone due to the specific fact that not all players or MoB's are resistant to the same things, you need to do an examine of your taget if it os a mob to determine what it is vulnrable to and choose the apropriate weapon.


But on the other hand if your talking stat wise then the best weapon would be speed 2.0 or lower witha damage range that is verey small IE 120-200 or 210-400 and if you cant find one like that then 100-177 with as low as possible HaM cost as you can find.


Sorry but there is no single pistol weapon that is the premium choise in the game unless in the future they build a smart weapon that automaticaly configures to the vulnrabilities of the target.

Get a whole bunch, and use the damage typesto your advantage.


I have a speed sliced (I don't have many speed mods yet) Mod. Republic Blaster (1.9 70-214) that I always use unless the MOB has high energy resists. Then I have my good 'ol FWG5 (1.6 60-205), Sriker Pistol, or my DX2.

Republic blaster and DX2 for pve


DX2 and geo for pvp

For PvP i suggest the genosian blaster. It does stun damage, and dosent have much damage output but it attacks ur oppents mind only. Very useful with the defense mods that pistoleers have. Also keep a dl44, a fwg5, and a dx2 pistol for PvE.

What is the BEST pistol out there for me to look and ask for? And whats the price average? and for the heck of it, what could I get thats uber for like 3-10 million credits?

our best pistol for me anyways is the DE-10 if you get good damage on it and it is ap1 but it also depends on what you are fighting at the time. if you are fighting a PC with armor then you would probably go with a geo.price depends on your server. mine is adk'ed and I value it at 25 million if I were ever to part with it. but then again we have to wait until the CU now because all of what I have said could be useless info.
