Thread: Which Combat profession?

I am a crafter and Im currently a TKA and I am looking to change from a melee prof to a ranged one. Now with the CU that, if anything, has made ranged better I am wanting comb at profession with which I can defend myself while doing harvester runs. Can anyone tell me, in their opinion, if Pistoleer is a good fit for a crafter who main form of combat is aggro mobs encountered on harvester runs?

Your only goal is to defend yourself? Stay TKA they have the best defense ratio (5) and need no armor.
If you really want a ranged prof, i think pistoleer' s stopping shot should help you A LOT, and we have the best defense of non hybrid ranged (BH & Commando have better def i think, but need 2 novice box
)
